Review Summary

Pastamore is consistently described as a casual, bright spot delivering fresh pasta and homemade sauces at good value, with many reviews noting large portions of bread and a BYOW option and a friendly, quick counter service. Standout dishes like Fusili Gigi and the gluten free pasta are highlighted, and several reviewers say the noodles are cooked al dente and the sauces are flavorful and varied. However, experiences vary, with some patrons reporting reduced portions lately, watery sauces, bland pesto, or overcooked pasta, and others noting missing meatballs or sausage despite orders and occasional inconsistent service when the owners are not present. The dining vibe is described as cafeteria style by some, though the place is frequently praised for its casual, family friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, and easy takeout or quick lunch options. Overall, the reviews present Pastamore as a popular pasta destination in the West Island, valued for its fresh pasta, range of sauces, and affordable prices, while reminding potential visitors that results can differ by day and dish.

Came to Pastamore with family. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Food:
I ordered the Fettuccine Pesto (2/5). The noodles were cooked just right, but the flavor was very bland. I make this at home & it's usually much more savory. I was told to add parmesan, which helped a bit, but didn't bring out the pesto flavor enough. The bread served with it was generous in size. The salad was prepackaged but decent.

If I were rating just my dish, I'd give it a 2/5.

I did get to try two types of ravioli, & those were better (good filling, nice consistency), a solid 3/5.

Ambiance:
Very casual. It has more of a cafeteria-style feel, where you order at the counter & wait for your number to be called.

Service:
Service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing especially memorable either.

Overall, it's fine for a quick, casual bite with the family, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Although, I may very well try a different fish next time because my brother loves this place.

Best pasta with Calabrese sauce & sausage I've had in a long time. As well, the seafood salads on special events here are fantastic. Overall, a great & delicious dining experience with reasonable prices.

Great spot for pasta lovers! Their pasta is delicious & served in big portions. Every pasta dish comes with a large piece of bread, so keep that in mind before ordering extra sides. You can also upgrade your meal to a trio, which includes a Caesar salad or soup & a drink. I made the mistake of ordering garlic bread on the side, not realizing they already give you a big piece of bread with your pasta-but honestly, the garlic bread was so good that I didn't regret it!

We placed an order on Uber Eats, & they forgot to pack 3 salads. We called to let them know & they brought them themselves! Great service! Thanks again!

Went with friends. Ate in. Order food at counter & bring your food to your seat that you chose. Ordered a trio with a drink, got a Ceasar salad - great dressing (was surprised). Ordered the Daniella sauce with cheese tortellini-was great! Huge portions, came with bread & butter. Plates were plastic, utensils were metal. It was after lunch hour so it wasn't busy when we went. Staff were friendly & quick with service. My friend ordered a spicy rose sauce with fettuccini- the noodles were very soft - zero texture so overcooked & the sauce was subpar- the pancetta were more like crumbs in the sauce. My other friend got gnocchi (she liked it- I'm not a fan of gnocchi so I didn't like it) with a garlic oil sauce- it smelled great but tasted ok. This is all preference, obviously I loved what I chose. You can pick the type of noodle you want & the sauce to pair it with! Prices are good, costs me $25 for a huge plate of pasta, bread, butter, a drink & a good portion of salad. Without the combo it would have been about $16 (pasta & bread). Would come here again, quick friendly service, clean environment, quiet, good affordable food.

Don't be fooled by the name. This is not an italian restaurant worth its parmesan!! The pasta was overcooked, the veal parm was chewy & the sauce did not taste of tomato. Tje Caesar salad was passable.
