About

Pastamore specializes in traditional Italian comfort food centered on handmade pasta dishes and robust, sauce-forward recipes. The menu emphasizes classic culinary techniques, featuring al dente noodles tossed in rich marinara, creamy alfredo, or savory meat-based ragus. Patrons encounter a straightforward approach to regional staples, highlighting the textures of flour and egg dough combined with aromatic herbs and imported cheeses. Each dish focuses on consistent flavor profiles intended to deliver reliable portions of hearty Mediterranean fare. The kitchen maintains a steady commitment to authentic preparations that prioritize fundamental ingredients over modern fusion trends. The atmosphere remains centered on the functional presentation of simple, filling plates within a functional, no-frills setting designed for efficient service and direct appreciation of staple dough-based offerings.

Review Summary

Pastamore is widely recognized for offering fresh, high quality pasta and generous portions at an affordable price, though guest experiences remain inconsistent. While many diners praise the flavorful sauces and friendly service, others have encountered issues with overcooked noodles, bland flavors, or missing items in their orders. The restaurant operates with a casual, cafeteria style service model where patrons order at the counter, which some find convenient while others find it lacking. Despite reports of inconsistent quality and recent operational changes leading to closure, many regulars have historically viewed the establishment as a reliable spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

Below average experience, Pasta sauce was too watery & bread was cold.

Came to Pastamore with family. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Food:
I ordered the Fettuccine Pesto (2/5). The noodles were cooked just right, but the flavor was very bland. I make this at home & it's usually much more savory. I was told to add parmesan, which helped a bit, but didn't bring out the pesto flavor enough. The bread served with it was generous in size. The salad was prepackaged but decent.

If I were rating just my dish, I'd give it a 2/5.

I did get to try two types of ravioli, & those were better (good filling, nice consistency), a solid 3/5.

Ambiance:
Very casual. It has more of a cafeteria-style feel, where you order at the counter & wait for your number to be called.

Service:
Service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing especially memorable either.

Overall, it's fine for a quick, casual bite with the family, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Although, I may very well try a different fish next time because my brother loves this place.

Great spot for pasta lovers! Their pasta is delicious & served in big portions. Every pasta dish comes with a large piece of bread, so keep that in mind before ordering extra sides. You can also upgrade your meal to a trio, which includes a Caesar salad or soup & a drink. I made the mistake of ordering garlic bread on the side, not realizing they already give you a big piece of bread with your pasta-but honestly, the garlic bread was so good that I didn't regret it!

Went with friends. Ate in. Order food at counter & bring your food to your seat that you chose. Ordered a trio with a drink, got a Ceasar salad - great dressing (was surprised). Ordered the Daniella sauce with cheese tortellini-was great! Huge portions, came with bread & butter. Plates were plastic, utensils were metal. It was after lunch hour so it wasn't busy when we went. Staff were friendly & quick with service. My friend ordered a spicy rose sauce with fettuccini- the noodles were very soft - zero texture so overcooked & the sauce was subpar- the pancetta were more like crumbs in the sauce. My other friend got gnocchi (she liked it- I'm not a fan of gnocchi so I didn't like it) with a garlic oil sauce- it smelled great but tasted ok. This is all preference, obviously I loved what I chose. You can pick the type of noodle you want & the sauce to pair it with! Prices are good, costs me $25 for a huge plate of pasta, bread, butter, a drink & a good portion of salad. Without the combo it would have been about $16 (pasta & bread). Would come here again, quick friendly service, clean environment, quiet, good affordable food.

Ordered the meatball panini but was disappointed when it came on a hot dog bun vs. crusty bread as shown on the website :(
