Review Summary

Pastamore is described as offering fresh pasta with a wide range of homemade sauces and generous portions, though several reviews note smaller portions recently and some dishes being underseasoned or overcooked. The dining experience is casual and cafeteria-style, with counter ordering and pickup, while service ranges from warmly praised to routine or mixed. Across reviews, the pasta quality is highlighted, with fresh noodles and tasty sauces frequently mentioned and value seen as strong, including gluten-free options and family-friendly choices. Overall, Pastamore comes across as a reliable casual pasta spot focused on variety and speed, though a few visits suggest inconsistency in execution.

Came to Pastamore with family. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Food:
I ordered the Fettuccine Pesto (2/5). The noodles were cooked just right, but the flavor was very bland. I make this at home & it's usually much more savory. I was told to add parmesan, which helped a bit, but didn't bring out the pesto flavor enough. The bread served with it was generous in size. The salad was prepackaged but decent.

If I were rating just my dish, I'd give it a 2/5.

I did get to try two types of ravioli, & those were better (good filling, nice consistency), a solid 3/5.

Ambiance:
Very casual. It has more of a cafeteria-style feel, where you order at the counter & wait for your number to be called.

Service:
Service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing especially memorable either.

Overall, it's fine for a quick, casual bite with the family, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Although, I may very well try a different fish next time because my brother loves this place.

Food is top quality (fresh pasta & homemade sauces) & choices are abundant! Service is very friendly, but they do not offer table service. It is cafeteria style (order at the counter & carry your food to your table). The dining room is clean & bright with ample tables. Highly recommended for a casual, affordable & delicious pasta meal!

I enjoyed a great meal here with friends & family, including some children. The menu has many options available.

Pasta was fresh, cooked al dente! Sauces are flavourful. Portions are generous.

Orders are placed & paid at the counter, they call you to pick up the meal. The price is affordable, & kids can order anything on the menu for 5$! Staff is very friendly. Service is fast, & the place is comfortable.

At this place, I had to think on my feet. Once at the counter, I picked my pasta, selected my sauce, added my accompaniment, grabbed my soft drink, found my table, & decided on the spice level, then enjoyed

I've been eating at pastamore for 43 years when it opened the first time in Marché l ouest
I watch the husband & wife start this business & we're always happy & smiling when they were serving people at their counter & 43 years later, the food is incredible & Tony one of the owners is 110% A-OK

I think I was expecting more. The food was good, which is the main reason for going. The restaurant itself is very plain, & walk up to the counter to order kind of place, which is fine if you know what to expect so I was a little caught off guard.

Went with friends. Ate in. Order food at counter & bring your food to your seat that you chose. Ordered a trio with a drink, got a Ceasar salad - great dressing (was surprised). Ordered the Daniella sauce with cheese tortellini-was great! Huge portions, came with bread & butter. Plates were plastic, utensils were metal. It was after lunch hour so it wasn't busy when we went. Staff were friendly & quick with service. My friend ordered a spicy rose sauce with fettuccini- the noodles were very soft - zero texture so overcooked & the sauce was subpar- the pancetta were more like crumbs in the sauce. My other friend got gnocchi (she liked it- I'm not a fan of gnocchi so I didn't like it) with a garlic oil sauce- it smelled great but tasted ok. This is all preference, obviously I loved what I chose. You can pick the type of noodle you want & the sauce to pair it with! Prices are good, costs me $25 for a huge plate of pasta, bread, butter, a drink & a good portion of salad. Without the combo it would have been about $16 (pasta & bread). Would come here again, quick friendly service, clean environment, quiet, good affordable food.
