Chimichurri sauce was 5$ extra but it's worth it & the portion is more than enough for two people. The duck was a bit too chewy for me but overall the food was delicious. It also would've been nice if our martinis were served in martini glasses instead of water glasses. Service was excellent & the staff were very friendly. I would still come back to try other things on the menu!View more
Tellement dommage! Une grosse déceptionView more
We trusted the reviews & that was an absolute mistake. The food & "salad" was horrible. A whole lettuce & some half turnips. The lettuce was yellow & looked so bad. The lamb skewer was rare & so chewy. The chairs are old & rusty. We also waited so long for ordering & getting the bill. The first place I ate in Montreal & such bad experience. It's a shame.View more
On a recent visit to Montreal, I discovered a new restaurant downtown. Housed in a former large shoe store with a simple entrance marked only by the street number above the door. As you step inside, you're greeted by a large, vibrant dining hall flanked by a huge open kitchen with a prominent charcoal grill. At the far end of the space is a beautiful patio! Was full but looked very inviting! While the space is beautiful, the food is the star here, with fresh, locally sourced farm-to-table meats & vegetables. Every dish is prepared with care & creativity, & the presentation is nothing short of gorgeous. But the taste is even better! The friendly service enhances the dining experience, making you feel welcome & well-cared for. There was also an excellent wine list to complement the dishes. Must try's - the sausage, ceviche & duck! This hidden gem, named Papito as a tribute to the owner's father, is destined to become one of the best restaurants in town. Don't miss the chance to check it out!View more
On adore cette formule de partage. On a essayé le magret, 2 choix de légumes & le chimichurri !!! On a continué avec les 2 desserts....Hâte d'y retourner pour essayer d'autres options. Beau grand restaurant !! Très jolie terrasse.View more
Visited Papito last evening after several recommendations - it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was lively & vibrant & all of the staff, from arrival to leaving, were friendly & welcoming! Edgy, yet unpretentious! But the food was the star of the show! It's farm to table - fresh & delicious! As a group of 5, we ordered a number of plates to share. The ceviche literally melted in my mouth! The array of vegetable dishes were outstanding! How they made carrots so delicious is a mystery! The meat dishes - duck & sausage - were perfection! Sauces were amazing & not too heavy, perfectly complementing the dishes. The type of food that you know you should stop eating because you are full, but can't because it's sooooo good! We had to try the desserts! The pistachio cake was next level! Papito may be my new favourite restaurant in MTL! All 5 of us agreed that we will definitely be back!View more
Cannot speak highly enough about this place! Quickly a new Montreal favourite of mine. The menu options are fun & fresh, super delicious, & akin to farm to table. The duck is a highlight & their veggie options are terrific & based on seasonality. Drinks could use a tiny bit of work, but I know they'll get there. Wine list is great!View more
Food was excellent & the vibe was on point! Enjoyed a great family style meal here & enjoyed every bite!View more
A great addition to the neighbourhood! Food, drinks & service were excellent. Can't wait to go back!View more
View more
the vibe & service here are very nice. no complaints to that end. but my rating is mostly based on food & whether or not i see myself coming back. i have to start with the good: the lobster shrimp toast was amazing & i would get that again in a heartbeat. i also enjoyed the baked potato. unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the meats that we ordered which i thought would have been the main star of the meal (lamb, duck, porchetta). fyi they didn't come with any sauce which u have to order separately for $5 extra. not sure if this is common practice but i found it odd since i'm used to having meats come with wtv sauce. anw we felt that the meats were dry & tough to chew so we didn't have a good experience with itView more
Music way too loud. I asked them to lower because we couldn't hear ourselves talk & I was getting a headache. They said no because it was important for the ambience. Really!!! Fish, potatoes, mushrooms asparagus & duck excellent. Brochette not good at all.View more
Absolutely delicious. The hit for us was the zucchini flowers!View more
Nous avons passé une belle soirée avec des amis La salle principale est vraiment bruyante On est donc allé sur la terrasse qui était moins pleine & on a pu passer une meilleure soirée Les entrées était sympa surtout le jambon Le plat principal était moins bon. Énormément de graisses Les desserts étaient bons aussiView more
