chinese(47) authentic(13) soup(11) fried rice(10) beef(10) price(10) parking(9) cantonese(9) family(9) fried(8) rice(8) quality(8)We visited Papa Jackie based on a recommendation & were pleasantly surprised. Although the parking lot was packed, we managed to find a spot just as someone was leaving. Inside, the restaurant is spacious, with plenty of room between tables, creating a relaxed & comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent-everything we ordered was incredibly well-prepared & bursting with flavor. The quality certainly stood out, comparing favorably to similar spots in town. However, we did notice that prices were on the high side, & in some cases, the cost seemed disproportionately high. For instance, the lobster, which is understandably pricy outside coastal areas, felt particularly expensive here. Overall, Papa Jackie is a fantastic choice if you're after a high-quality meal & don't mind the splurge.
I love everything there if I could I would go there every day
La nourriture est ordinaire (à mon avis) mais c'est un bon service !
Very good authentic food. Flavourful. The staff is very nice & courteous. Definitely a great spot for friends/family but not for anything romantic. My biggest complaint is that the price is extremely high per item: about 30% higher than most Chinese restaurants in the same quality bracket.
Very poor experience at Papa Jackie. Does not live up to expectations at all. Everything is thickened with an insane amount of cornstarch, the seafood chow mein was essentially flavourless, the pork wonton soup was not flavourful either & the wrapping was very thick. Everything was very low quality, would not recommend.
The services are friendly ! The food was delicious! If you like to eat Cantonese food & steamed fish, highly recommended!
All time favorite when we crave for Cantonese food! As one of us only eats seafood & veggie, so the family set is good for us to have steamed fresh scallops, fried fish fillets with salt & pepper, the soup is super yummy (蟹肉魚肚羮)! Usually on top of that we would order a beef briskets pot for dinner, & this time with two dim sum, Shrimp siu mai & shrimp dumplings. & the credit to the cashier lady who is so patient, friendly, helpful & polite all the time!
Best Chinese-style seafood feast restaurant ever! It was SO AMAZING. The Hong Kong-style crab was insanely flavorful 😋. I'll definitely be back with more people for another feast!
Servers were really nice & the food came out very quickly. My family & I ordered- General Tao Chicken, Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein with veggies, beef & broccoli, salt & pepper shrimp & fried chicken. Food was very flavourful & generous portions.
Best Chinese restaurant in Montreal Everything I ordered was really delicious. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Montreal. I want to go there right now. You have to go here. It's really crowded.
Love this place. Always delicious & decently priced. From outside it looks unassuming, but the food is truly delicious 🤤
Rien d'inoubliable. J' ai été deux fois & je me rappelle pas de quel plat qui est bon 😅
Restaurant qui sert des plats très bons & copieux. À essayer avec des amis, les plats se partagent !
Food was great. Lots of wok hei flavor. Best chinese food in Quebec. As good as chinese food in Toronto & that's saying a lot. Definitely hidden gem.
