All 7 dishes we had shared were cooked & seasoned perfectly In very large portions. professional & prompt service. Not the type of place if you're going to eat by yourself but great couples & small groups. We just orderd all our favorite go-to dishes without checking the prices. & when the bill came we were all shocked at how inexpensive it was considering the quality & quantity. A MUST GO if you like Chinese food.
Delighted to discover this authentic gem in Brossard, in a strip plaza! Enormous dining room behind what looks to be a small footprint storefront. Very friendly staff, excellent chefs.. majority of customers are Asian, the hallmark of a superb Chinese restaurant! Good menu, reasonable prices, huge portions: excellent value! Lovely modern bright interior. If you like eating with chopsticks & the small bowl - plate, stop the staff from taking them away & swapping for whitesized plates & cutlery! Love this place. The best Chinese restaurant anywhere in the Montreal area - heads above any in their Chinatown! Highest recommendation! Go! 👑🐒⚜? d
CHINESE NEVER CLOSE :)))
MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅
We come here basically every week or so, & they might be the best Chinese of Southshore, & maybe even Montreal 😋
I wish the restaurant was ever slightly cleaner but I think its basically impossible, they wash it all the time its just with the quantity of people coming in & out theres bound to be signs of passage.
Initially we went to the restaurant to sit down, but understandably, there is a long wait for a table on Saturday night, so we ordered take out instead. We ordered Yin Yang fried rice & dried fried beef noodles.
Usually food is always great here. Food for this takeout is decent today. i would say above average compared to other Chinese restaurants.
Had to wait over 20 mins to write down our takeout order because kitchen close at 9pm on Saturday night, & they said they are too busy usually on Saturday night in the last 90 mins before kitchen close. Received the food only after close to 40 mins from the time we arrived.
I would suggest, dear readers, that on Thursday to Saturday night, order takeout instead of dining in, & go straight to the Cashier counter where you pay for the bills to order takeouts. Absolutely do not expect the waiters to take your takeout orders. You will wait a LONG time.
I would also suggest you order the food from Fantuan or UberEats through deliveries to save yourself the wait time of the food, because it is a long wait in evenings. (Price for UberEats & Fantuan is similar to restaurant takeout or deliveries, no markups in the app like other restaurants :)
Lunch service usually is pretty good service.
The counter lady with glasses was the onky person who was very nice & helpful.
Edit: useful info: they do not accept AMEX even though on the amex website, it says they do & its not written on the restaurant's website.
A total surprise to find good Chinese cuisine under such a name... unless of course the owners are diehard fans of Jackie Chan. Jackie the Ripper of ducks?...no. But the three course duck meal is such a delicious journey through the realm of flavors...
If you love Chinese food this is certainly a great place to go. Seafood fried rice is next level delicious & the peanut butter dumplings are fantastic. Many great options to choose from as well.
Papa Jackie offers decent Chinese food with consistently good quality. While the prices are on the higher side, the ingredients & preparation generally justify the cost. The parking lot is quite small, which can be frustrating during peak hours. Service used to be more attentive in the past - it's still acceptable, but not quite what it used to be. Overall, a reliable option if you're craving Chinese, especially if you're prioritizing quality over price.
