The food at Paloma is delicious (the artichoke & fish starter were so good) & the service was great. However, just some friendly feedback - as the restaurant is quite a small space, it probably has one too many tables. There also really needs to be some paintings or art on the wall to help insulate the sound as it was just too loud inside. My husband & I could not have a conversation without shouting at each other, so we ate quickly & left. If we could have heard each other we might have had more drinks, but were very uncomfortable with the atmosphere.View more

Had: artichoke, scallop, veal brain, mezzalune, beef chunk, gnocchi. Judging by other reviews maybe I just don't get it. But nothing I had here seemed to match the caliber of other restaurants in the city of this price point. The dishes seemed more simplistic than simple to me, even if the intent was perhaps to remain faithful to traditions. Beef chunk was excessively salted. Lemon butter with veal brain was interesting, I respected that. The pacing of the dinner was weird with 45 minutes+ gaps between apps. Wines were the saving grace, so lets say 3*.View more

Restaurant Paloma is a beautiful comforting Italian restaurant that has an outstanding menu of classic dishes from tripe to carbonara with a beautiful vibrant wine list. The staff is warm & bubbly making it an outstanding find in Montreal.View more

I was in town for a bachelor's party with a large group & we called to see if Paloma would accommodate on a whim. They worked with us to build a custom menu with wine pairings. The food & service were incredible, & we were very pleased with the suggested wine pairings. Overall this was a once in a lifetime dining experience & we are very grateful to the staff at Paloma for the wonderful evening. A standout dish was the Mezzalune de Zucca, but we cleaned every plate brought to the table (even with some pickier eaters at the table!)View more

This may be have been the best meal of my life. Between the food to the service, everything was exceptional. Def try the tripe, gnudi, & hangar steak. You will not be disappointed. Hearing the story about the chef & his daughter warmed my heart. You need to eat here if you're visiting Montreal. I will DEFINITELY be back again. C'EST INCROYABLEView more
Tout d'abord, la chaleur des lieux & de l'hôtesse sont au rendez-vous. Ensuite les découvertes de plats classiques niçois ravissent les papilles! Le pithiviers de cervelle qui n'était pas sur le menu nous a été proposé & ce plat m'a entièrement charmé. Les tripes accompagnées de pain grillé valent le détour également. À l'occasion de mon anniversaire, j'ai été invité au restaurant Paloma. C'était un cadeau formidable. Nous avons eu le plaisir de partager plusieurs plats, dont la tête au porc, les tripes, & d'autres. Pour le plat principal, nous avons choisi l'onglet & le poisson, & pour terminer, nous avons eu des desserts très originaux, pleins de saveurs. Il faut dire que c'était un voyage gastronomique. La tête au porc préparé en tout beauté, a fait exploser mes papilles gustatives. Je suis vraiment émerveillé par toutes les saveurs présentes dans chaque assiette. Oh, & je me dois de reconnaître la gentillesse de chaque employé & bien sûr des chefs / propriétaires.
