Delicious food & great service.
We started with the 3 choices of mezzés which were all very good, perfect to open the appetite.
As entrées, we tried the Beef Martini & the Spicy Feta Lamb. The taste was delicious & the meats were cooked to perfection.
The server recommended a nice bottle of wine, all of they're bottles were quite reasonably priced.
We finished with the baklava, which was heaven for honey enthusiasts such as myself.

We learned that the restaurant has been opened for about 30 years, making a Montreal staple. Don't sleep on this gem! I truly recommend 😊

Le repas était simple, classique & excellent, une cuisine du marché authentique. Le service était impeccable, courtois ; l'ambiance vivante & typique. J'y reviendrai assurément !!!

Over the last few yrs, I've been to Ouzeri on special occasions. It is quieter during the week, which I appreciate in order to have conversation.
The food is extraordinary. The Calamari & lamb are succulent. I highly recommend this place. Make sure you go when it is less crowded, unless you don't mind a noisy atmosphere.

Service extraordinaire. Dès qu'on s'assoit, on nous sert une délicieuse petite entrée (humus, olives & boulettes d'agneau)& pain frais, le temps de regarder le menu. Sitôt les choix faits, le vin & l'entrée arrivent en 2 minutes (littéralement!). & le plat principal ne se fait pas attendre non plus. Un service professionnel & particulièrement attentionné (denrée rare de nos jours) par plusieurs serveurs(ses) sympathiques. Vraiment une belle & exquise expérience.

The hostess of this restaurant was incredibly nasty & full of stress. She was treating customers like lego pieces, or robots.. just fitting them with no care at all of the persons she was managing.
We had a reservation of 6 people & suddenly 2 more came over to join the last drink & she got crazy & start yelling like we destroyed her life & wondering out loud why we didnt tell her before, like its sth you can know one week in advance.. She shout twice at us!!
Honestly we had another reservation for 17 next week & we cancelled, this is what you get when you treated good clients like crap.

Ouzeri!!! simplement wow!! J'y suis allé plusieurs fois dans les dernières années & à chaque fois, je suis impressionnée par la qualité du service & l'excellente nourriture!! Il faut l'essayer, vous l'adopterez! Très plaisant d'y aller en groupe, l'ambiance est très cool !

Let me begin by saying that I specifically created an account here so I could review this restaurant - Ouzeri has been one of my worst dining experiences to date, & I go out quite a bit for dinner parties or just on the context of trying something new. I had ordered the lamb moussaka, yet the waiter heard something else & brought me the wrong dish. I simply pointed out that it wasn't what I had ordered & may I say,the waiter's anger went from 0 to 100 within a matter of seconds! The woman yelled at me in front of the dinner group (mostly acquaintances I didn't know too well might I point out, so this alone is embarrassing beyond words), took away my plate & stormed off.

As a reader you might be tempted to think that I said something offensive or that I might have had an attitude which provoked the waiter. I can assure you this wasn't the case as there were enough witnesses around me wondering why she flipped her lid, to put it mildly.

When I did get my food, the moussaka was alright; a little too heavy on the eggplant if there's such a thing, but I'll be honest, I hardly tasted it after the confrontation. I just ate for the saké of eating what I was going to be paying for.

Long story short, I was made out to be the demon customer, neither she nor the manager apologized (in fact, she was giving me stink eye while I was eating) & she fully expected me to tip her at the end of the night.

I didn't enjoy my experience. That'll be the first & last.

Best food in Montreal, you wont find anything tastier in town. The beef in the brochettes plate is the most tender, flavorful cut you can find. The pita gratiné is a great appetizer. Best baklava dessert I've had.
Make sure you make a reservation though.
