Have been going for over 20 years.. don't live in town anymore.. was there one year ago every thing was excellent.. was there Saturday night.. service was very slow & distracted… food was massively disappointing.. party of 8 & most dishes lacked flavour.. example my salad had drips for dressing - lacked flavour.. mussels had no seasoning.. tzatziki was bland.. pita bread had no flavour.. mushroom & octopus apps were slimy & just yuck… the one dish that was good was the grilled calamari.. hope they get it back together..

Varied Greek dishes you wouldn't find at other restaurants. Tried the tasty & filling lamb moussaka. The free appetizer of meat balls & olives was very good too.

A Delightful Greek Feast at Ouzeri!

My recent visit to Ouzeri Greek Restaurant in Montreal was an absolute pleasure! We decided to share a few dishes to get a good taste of their offerings, & we were thoroughly impressed.

The Mediterranean shrimp was incredibly flavourful & cooked to perfection, a definite highlight. The chicken brochettes were tender & juicy, clearly made with fresh ingredients. We also enjoyed their perfectly roasted potatoes & the fresh, well-prepared vegetables that accompanied our meal. & of course, the warm pita bread was the ideal accompaniment for soaking up all the delicious flavours.

Every single dish was very well made, incredibly tasty, & tasted wonderfully fresh. Ouzeri truly delivers an authentic & enjoyable Greek dining experience. We can't wait to return!

Exceptional & creative menu that takes Greek classics you can't find anywhere else & elevates them to a new level. Service is outstanding & the dishes are absolute standouts. An exceptional spot. Must try. Cute bistro-like decor with a bit of whimsy.

I've been here a few times over the years. Food has always been good but I'm sad to say their prices compared to other restaurants today don't make sense. The smallest salad I've perhaps ever seen in any restaurant was 22$. I've ordered calamari at 50 Montreal restaurants, theirs is very good but the portion size compared to other good calamari is maybe 20% less at that price. We could have gone to a higher class restaurant & ordered 7 courses at this price because we ordered a few dishes to make up for the quantity. Excellent atmosphere. It would still be one of my favorite restaurants if the prices were maybe 20% lower to match other competitors.

We were for looking to have dinner outside & it was nearing dinner time so we decided to call & see if it was necessary to make a reservation. The gentleman on the phone highly recommended making the reservation & so we had our table set aside for us. Upon arrival, there may be two tables out of the entire restaurant that we're occupied. so we thought maybe it was a false encouragement to make the reservation. However as we made our way throughout the meal, no more than 30 to 40 minutes later as we turned around the whole entire restaurant was filled. There wasn't a single table available & this was roughly 6 o'clock on a Saturday night. That being said, keep that in mind if you choose to visit this restaurant for dinner. It was explained to us that the dishes are served in the type of tapas fashion. Meaning, some of the dishes did not necessarily come with sides so you needed to order rice or whatever else you wanted. Some of the portions were also on the small side so they encouraged us to order a variety of plates. That way we could all share. In the end we have the Saganaki flambé cheese to share, Another order of bread & spread, a spaghetti dish, moussaka, feta lamb, & shrimp dish. There was more than enough food for the four of us, & we managed to take some of it home. The staff was very attention, it & quick . we enjoyed the vibe inside the restaurant & did delicious food. We managed to walk to the restaurant. However, if you're coming by Car, you will have to find parking on the street & depending on the time of day & the day of the week you might need to pay for street parking.

Been here 3 times now, & would highly recommend it. Delicious & fresh food - feta lamb, grilled calamari & the orange salad are just a few of the dishes I would suggest. Reasonably priced. The drawback is the below average service, with slow & rude waitresses.
