skewer(32) japanese(17) izakaya(15) chicken(14) brochettes(14) drink(13) music(11) cocktail(10) flavor(9) vibe(9) recommend(9) dishes(8)Undercooked noodles, bland chicken broth tasted like dishwater, soggy stone pot rice. Overpriced yakitori with nothing distinctive at all. Walked out feeling COLDER than when we came in.
The ramen noodle was raw & soup was like water. Not recommended.
Otto Yakitori is the spot if you're craving incredible grilled skewers & a fire atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent - every skewer is packed with flavor & cooked perfectly.
You also can't ask for better service. Fanny & Kina always take care of you with genuine hospitality, & Coco, the manager, is super kind & welcoming.
Honestly, it's one of the best places to chill, eat well, & enjoy the vibe. Highly recommend!
Beautiful little authentic experience. The matcha cocktail & yuzu liquor are as amazing as the various grilled treats. My faves were the eel & pork belly.
Somewhat nice inside with huge sellection of saki. Expensive for small skewers. The Brussel sprouts were excellent a must order.
Left hungry & unsastified. Due to small place & loud music some drunk guy was screaming at the top of his lungs. Couldn't hear myself talk. They apologized for the idiot customer.
Been several years since my last visit to Otto Yakitori Izakaya. It was fairly busy for a late Sunday dinner. More of a light meal spot.
- Brussel sprouts ($9.00) - small but nicely cooked & topped with pumpkin seeds
- Yakitori Otto set ($19.00 for 6) - negihama, momo, tsukune, tebasaki, kawa & hatsu. All the skewers were tender, favourite was the heart
- Curry don ($16.00) - Japanese curry had a nice underlying heat to it. Had a couple potatoes, chicken & pickled ginger mixed in
It was our first time & definitely not the last. The food is really good & the atmosphere is great, felt just like in Japan. I recommend taking the hamachi tataki! The service was excellent, the girl was so nice & pretty. 100% recommend!
Very nice & cozy place, we really enjoyed our dinner the yakitori skewers were delicious, especially the yuzu skewers & chicken thighs. The service was amazing, staff are friendly. Totally recommend
Great atmosphere but service was just okay. We weren't too impressed by the quality of food. Skewers were not bad, but not a fan of mustard & mayo combo with the baos.
Comparables aux yakitoris qu'on retrouve au Japon. Le staff était gentil. J'adore qu'il y avait aussi des sélections de Highball & Chuhai (cocktails qui se boivent souvent dans des izakaya) Nous avons adoré notre souper!
nice place to go, food overall real good in the yakitori side of things, a bit smaller than I'd like for the price but that's somewhat expected for yakitori. kaarage was perfect, negima as well. downside was the hatsu which I found a little bland. but overall good place, would go again.
The food is good, the decor is nice, service is ok. I did not like the loud rock music though, very unusual in an izakaya restaurant. The buns with braised pork were cold & came with pickles, still very surprising. I am happy I tried it but it is not the kind of izakaya I am used to. So be aware of that when trying it. & no happy hour offered vs what says the black board. Still worth the try.
One of my go-to spot, great food & ambiance, sometimes the music is off tho (it was like a club vibe; quite loud &'beaty'instead of a chill pub resto). Their bao buns & fried squid tentacles NEVER miss !! so delicious every time, drinks are good as well & decent portion. They did increase the price $18 for 2 buns instead of $16, as well as the bibimbap, quite steep, but still within affordability.
