Very much overpriced food for the quality. Apetizers were 4 tasteless fried veggie rice balls for 22$. The pizza (24.50) had a nice crust but was far too salty. The arabiata pasta dish (20$) was pasta with canned sauce. Total of 70$ for that. Fortunately, the waiter was friendly.

The portions were huge!! Staff are nice kind & friendly. Shop is very spacious lots of room.

🦆Linguine duck confit - sauce us avory in the sweet side, pretty heavy

Table was not so clean & the floor under the table was dirty. The waiter did not pay any attention to that!
Bread was cold... pizza was not crispy as before & chewy...
La pizza avec gluten était délicieuse.
Par contre la pizza sans gluten n'était pas bonne du tout. Il est pourtant si facile de faire une croûte sans gluten goûteuse & moelleuse avec de bonnes garnitures.
Manger sans gluten peut être savoureux, je vous suggère de trouver une nouvelle recette de croute de pizza. Je vous propose aussi d'améliorer la carte des desserts sans gluten. Il serait si facile de mettre un Gâteau sans gluten sur la carte des desserts. C'est ce que nous aurions pris pour la fête de notre amie. Dommage. Nous sommes allés dans votre restaurant puisque une personne doit absolument manger sans gluten. Elle était déçue de sa pizza, par contre la mousse au chocolat état bonne ainsi que les moules frites aussi. En tant que restaurant qui s'affiche sans gluten très sécuritaire, Vous devriez améliorer la carte & les recettes.
Nous ne retournerons pas au restaurant ottavio à moins d'améliorations des pizzas sans gluten.
Finalement, Lorsque l'on fait un réservation en français le sondage qui suit par courriel devrait être en français. J'ai reçu le sondage en anglais.

Great wood-stove pizza. Extremely noisy environment. Best for a party, not so good for a quiet date-night. Asked about allergies right as we were being seated. Very allergy-conscious restaurant.

We didn't get the usual basket of bread while we waited for our meal. Pizza took a while to make it to the table. However food was excellent & it never disappoints.
We also understand that there is a lack of staff - & the staff they have is always smiling. I always recommend Ottavio & will always be back for their great food & service.

Hi, I'm celiac & it makes it quite difficult to go out for dinner with friends. However, with restrictions now lifted, we invited friends to Ottavio's last week. They are not celiac & have no gluten intolerance. They have never been to Ottavio's. They were impressed at how Ottavio treated them as well as how I was treated. So careful with everything... even the glass of water. We all enjoyed our food especially me! Fries & Pizza with no worries. What more could I ask for? The waiter was very kind & efficient! I could not tell if she was smiling because she was wearing a mask but it certainly sounded like she was. Thank you for being a great hostess & thank you for allowing us to have an evening without worries :)
First time finally out for dinner post lockdown. Chose ottavio as its byow, has delicious quasi Italian food
( mainly pizza, pasta) & mussels. Restaurant has nice ambiance. Hostess & waiting staff were very friendly & polite. All covid protocols were followed 👍. Will definitely be back

What an absolute pleasure to be able to sit in a beautiful restaurant (after showing our vaccine passports) & see an actual allergen menu! The gluten free options abound, but I got the garlic bread & the Québécois pizza. The server was great, extremely friendly & the first thing he asked is if anyone had any allergies. I said I have celiac & am gluten free & they switched out my water glass & my cutlery. These are kept separate for guest safety & to alert the staff to the allergy. Even the gluten free water is in a separate pitcher to avoid cross contamination. The plates are red instead of white to ensure no mistakes are made. My husband (without allergies) had the lasagna which came in a huge portion & he loved it. I highly recommend & would gladly eat here again!
