Triste expérience. Nous connaissons le restaurant & avons bien aimé au paravent toutefois notre dernière visite nous a extrêmement déçu. Les portions sont très petites & meme le serveur nous a avertie disant, une sélection ne sera pas assez, vous devriez en faire 2 & même 3. La présentation était ok mais les saveur n`y étaient pas. Groupe de 8 & nous avons tous eu la même impression. En passant, vous devez débourser pour le pain. 3$ pour un tier de baguette, du jamais vu. Sad experience. We know the restaurant & really liked it in the past, however our last visit left us extremely disappointed. The portions are very small & even the waiter warned us saying; one selection will not be enough, you should make 2 or even 3. The presentation was ok but the flavors were not there. Group of 8 & we all had the same impression. By the way, you have to pay for the bread. $3 for a third of a baguette, unheard of.

WOW! Just went again; it has gotten even better than 5 stars! I have been to O'Thym at least 10 times over the last 6 or 7 years (with 2 years off due to covid) & it has consistently been a 5-star experience. It is one of my two favorite BYOW in Montreal. I bring my high-end Italian & Spanish wines here, while the other is more suited to French wines (although O'Thym went well with chateau Pavie). I think O'Thym's cuisine is a bit similar to Italian cuisine, in that it is a bit more more flavorful than French cuisine. O'Thym reminds me of hunting cuisine because of those strong flavors. I can also guarantee that you will have unknown vegetables in your plate... I have tried at least 20 BYOW. My other favorites Zeste de Folie & Beurre Noisette have closed; even Christophe has closed. Usually, BYOW have some great appetizers or a few great main courses; most have average desserts. When six people are wowed by their appetizer, six are wowed by their main course, & six are wowed by their dessert (not counting a very interesting cheese platter), this was for me unheard of (6 years ago).Voir plus

We recently dined at O'Thym & it was a truly special experience. The restaurant has just a few tables, which adds to the intimate & exclusive feel. It's worth noting, though, that this can make booking a table a bit tricky. We really enjoyed the small plates concept, sampling a variety of dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. However, we felt that the portion size for some dishes, like the duck, was a bit small considering the price. The service was a highlight-discreet, friendly, & very attentive to details. It made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it's a fantastic spot if you're looking for an intimate dining experience with top-notch service, although booking ahead is a must!Voir plus

Les plats sont petits & manquent parfois de saveur. Certains étaient froids. Il manquait surtout d'un minimum d'accompagnements dans les divers plats, ne serait-ce quelques petits légumes ou féculents pour donner plus de goût & de couleurs.Voir plus
