This'brasserie' gives you a clean look, solid pub fare, & attentive staff. Menu favorites, Appetizers, would be the nachos, & the Bavarian pretzel is awesome. For mains, the pizza, & burger head the list. Beer selection is great, just get servers' recommendation. Trust them. Staff is attentive, courteous.
Downside: such a larger space.. the noise level is extremely loud.. Won't hold a conversation with anyone more than 1 seat away.
Downside: stick with pub fare.. I.e. SKIP the Shrimp tacos. Trust me on this one.
Parking just to the east side of the building
Went for dinner & Habs watch party. So pleasantly surprised by the fun vibe! Cool microbrewery… open space & an urban feel. Service (shoutout to Josh!) was very friendly & generally prompt, despite being busy. The menu is not extensive, but they have all the right choices & lots of micro brews to try :) We had fish tacos, Caesar salad & pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Everything was excellent! Will be back for sure!
Origine Brass is a relatively new pub here on the West Island & it's fantastic!!! 🤩
The place is inviting, spacious, lively, & just genuinely fun to be in. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm & energetic without being overwhelming.
They have themed nights as-well!!
The service was top notch. Super friendly, open, welcoming, & helpful from everyone we interacted with. A special shoutout to Vicky, who was exceptionally kind & fun. 😘She let us sample several beers before we decided, explained the different options, told us about their specials, & made the whole experience feel personal & relaxed 🫶🏼 We even ended up doing a round of shots with her! You can tell the staff truly enjoy working there, & that energy spreads through the whole place.
The beer selection is excellent, especially knowing it's brewed on site. Great variety & something for everyone. 🍺
For food, the fermented pizza dough pizzas were highly recommended to us, but we decided to try the Caesar salad & steak sandwich instead. Both were delicious choices. The only small thing for me personally was that I found the Caesar dressing a little on the sweeter side, which felt a bit unusual, but that's completely subjective.
Overall, the ambiance is fantastic, the service is outstanding, & the whole place has such a fun vibe. We already can't wait to go back & try the pizzas next time! 🍕
I believe it's good to make reservations. We didn't & we sat at the bar which we fully enjoyed. Parking is plentiful.
Great place for a super lunch or dinner at reasonable prices....the craft beer is the best in the city....& the sour dough pizza is better than in Italy!!
I love this place, pesto & prosciutto pizza was delicious & our waiter Kevin was so handsome
Very satisfied with everything about this pub....except for the beer, & pizza inconsistency.
1) THE GOOD:
- generous beer flight portions (enough for a couple).
- courtesy free beer tasting (small but satisfying portion).
- Delicious pizza (sourdough texture & flavour, 13' size, high quality toppings).
2) THE BAD:
- My wife's pizza was too thin at the center, so it didn't hold the toppings (it was a simple margherita).
- All 4 beers in our flight were very bitter...could hardly finish them. We got: Irish Stout, Porter, Botanik, Lemonade rose....the only enjoyable one was the extra we tasted which was the Sunsplit.
I would go again & try their other varieties, but do expect that all their beers would be on the bitter side of the scale.
Great sourdough Pizza & fish & chips. Beers great selection. Not well signposted outside & not a lot of parking? Would definitely return. Wait staff friendly
We loved this place! Both the beer & food were excellent & the service was fantastic as well. I'm partial to IPAs & they had four excellent options when I was there. I also tried a very good Irish Stout. We tried two different pizzas & poutine & I woild recommend all three.
Quite simply the best place to get pub style food in Montreal. I say this as someone who loves pub food & has been to most/all of them. This one is the best.
The fresh sourdough pizzas are not something you frequently have access to with this style of restaurant & they're more than just a nice touch, they kind of steal the show. They're truly incredible.
The kitchen staff is talented & creative. If they have a special on the board that you're thinking of ordering, I can only say DO IT! I've never been disappointed.
The final cherry on the Sunday is the staff. The staff at 4 Origines is truly what makes it stand out. Not only have I never once had a negative experience, I've never even had a neutral experience! The staff has always been warm & welcoming. They're truly a joy to be around.
I've been to 4 Origines well over 20 times at this point & all I can say is that I'll keep going back!
We visited this pub with my husband. Unfortunately, this time our experience did not meet our expectations.
I ordered the fish tacos - they were rather bland & served cold, & the fish itself was hardly noticeable.
My husband ordered a pizza & was also disappointed.
We remember this place having a different menu in the past, & we really enjoyed it then, which makes this visit especially disappointing.
Sadly, we won't be returning. Considering the prices, there are other pubs & restaurants where the overall dining experience is better.
Sat at the bar, & the bar staff were extremely friendly. The pizza was incredible & the beer was great!
Pizza was delicious nachos were ok,Im not a beer guy but my friends said beer is very good & it was a good deal 25$ for a pie & a beer. Service was on point. We will be back for a burger!!
If I could give more than five stars, I would. Origine Brass is the kind of place that redefines what a local microbrewery & restaurant can be. Stylish but warm, modern without losing its soul. It hums with that quiet confidence of a place that knows exactly who it is & what it's doing.
We started simple: wings & nachos. The wings were solid, crispy, well-seasoned, & paired perfectly with the first round of IPA. Not life-changing, but satisfying. The nachos were better than most, piled high with fresh toppings & cheese that actually stretches. Then came the pizza, & everything changed.
The Champignon Pizza was pure magic. I have eaten pizza across Europe & North America, from Naples to San Francisco, from small trattorias tucked into cobbled Italian alleys to wood-fired gems in Montréal & Portland. This one belongs in the top three of my life. The crust was impossibly thin yet chewy in all the right ways, blistered at the edges & soft at the core, with that subtle flavor that only comes from a dough that has been given time & care. The topping was loaded with wild, aromatic mushrooms, fresh herbs, & a drizzle of olive oil that tasted like the Mediterranean sun itself. Every bite offered a perfect balance of earthiness, salt, & heat. Only in small coastal villages of Italy have I tasted anything quite like it.
The beer list reads like a love letter to craft brewing. Bright, hoppy IPAs that sing, malty ambers that ground you, & a stout that feels like dessert without being heavy-handed. I was hoping for a sour, but none were on tap that day. It hardly mattered. Every pour was clean, balanced, & served at the perfect temperature.
Service was effortless & friendly, the kind that makes you feel like a regular by the end of the night. The staff seem genuinely proud of what they are serving, & they have every reason to be. The atmosphere ties it all together, a mix of industrial chic & soft lighting, with music & conversation blending just right.
I travel often for work, & food is one of the ways I get to know a place. Origine Brass tells a story of Montréal at its best: creative, confident, unpretentious, & rooted in quality. That pizza alone will stay with me for years. If you love good food & honest craftsmanship, this is the place.
The food is incredible
Oven pizza amazing
You have to try the jerk shrimp WOW!
THANK YOU
First time here! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess & made to feel welcome. The fairly good looking bar tender gave excellent recommendations on drinks & even found some hot sauce to accommodate my sour dough pizza. She created such a hospitable environment that I stayed for the comedy show. What a blast I didn't expect?! Travelling solo, this is way above average!!
