Through Oorja, we aim to create a restaurant inspired by the flavors of Hakka, primarily Indo Chinese cuisine, where the emphasis is placed on fresh ingredients and great service. We take pride in the food that we create, and it is our ambition to bring this vibrant and culturally rich cuisine to Montreal. As both a restaurant and a cocktail bar, our objective is to shape a fun and dynamic environment centered around a unique culinary experience. Our team will create dishes and cocktails made from quality seasonal ingredients sourced from local producers. Indo Chinese cuisine is surprisingly absent from Montreal, and we believe that its vibrance and imaginativeness will be very well received.
Pretty nice restaurant, variety in drinks & great attention. The baby corn & the pork were highlights for me. The vanilla cake desserts was also really damn good.
The food was really good. A bit too spicy for my own taste.
The ambience was good as well, the setting looked really good.
However, the service was extremely bad. The wait time was really long, & couldn't even get water refills.
However food experience was good, but the service made the overall experience bad.
I will be going back for the Minced Lamb Spring Rolls & the Braised Pork Belly - I totally forgot to order the Red Bean Bao Buns for dessert; I can't wait to try it! The appies are the main event, the mains are a bit too sweet & lacked complexity, but for $20 they're great & on the small side. My friends loved the wine, & The Last Word cocktail recommendation was surprising & herbacious. Great space, a nice addition to the neighbourhood!

Food & ambiance were delicious & lovely. However the service was absolutely atrocious. We showed up at the time of our reservation, & waited for about 10 minutes. Then the host told us he just had to set our table, which he did, but never sat us down. So we took the liberty to go seat ourselves after waiting for another 10 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to order our drinks, & brought me the wrong beer. It takes another about 15-20 minutes to get our first appetizer, & we don't have any plates. It's now 45 minutes after our reservation so we just ate off the middle plate. After another 20 minutes, we get our 2nd appetizer & both mains. Again delicious. Once we finish, the cherry on top is that the waiter just drops the card machine on the table & walks away. We pay, wait 5 minutes, & eventually just leave. Food was absolutely fantastic, but the service would make me reconsider going back.
Tried Oorja for dinner The interior is sick. Love the colors & ambiance. We tried many items & everything was delicious. The dumplings & spring rolls were so good. My favorite item was the duck wings. First time trying duck but it was to die for. Very Friendly & helpful staff ! Fair prices! Follow @ayahayek_ for more on instagram
The staff are incredibly welcoming & the food is incredible. The combination of flavours is something I think everyone needs to experience. This place is one of my favourites.

This is a nice Indo Chinese spot in St Henri. We ordered the mango cocktail, chili baby corn, braised pork & chili chicken. The menu is small but good. The chili chicken with chowmein tasted very much like the street side chili chicken I've grown up eating in Kolkata. The braised pork was delicious. The crispy babycorn came with a nice sauce. The portions are quite filling. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with soft music playing in the background. This is a really cute spot for dinner.
The food is fire! The flavours & the presentation are outstanding. The cocktails... amazing!
The staff are super friendly , excellent service!
This is a fantastic quaint restaurant with a great vibe! Thank you for making my daughters birthday extra special!
See you again 😀
First time. The moment we entered, we noticed a great atmosphere & ambiance. Service , Food & drink were on the point. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend 😁

They were low staff which I understand. Appetizers were good. However the menu for main dish is limited. Noodles were burnt. Four out of five were not satisfied. We won't go back.
Food tasted great. A good balance of sweet, sour & hotness. Some didn't taste like it should (Manchow soup for example, is more like tomato soup rather than manchow), but still good nevertheless. Well maintained, cozy place with good ambiance. Price is on a higher side for the portion they serve & the service. I'd recommend taking your friends or family once, for a nice dinner on a cold day.
Very good food. Chicken dish with fried rice was only slightly too sweet for my tastes but was too ultra hot spicy. Perhaps reduce a bit? Braised pork very tasty but too much fatty pieces. Chicken dumpling were delicious.
