If you're looking for Desi Chinese, this is THE PLACE 😍🤤. The food was yummmm, & the spice level was 🔝-just how I like it. I love how creatively everything is prepared, & their bar is 💯🫶. The ambiance? 100/100! Love, love, love it! It's a great spot for a cozy date night, complete with teary eyes from the spice!
Perfect place to dine in for indo chinese cuisine in montreal. They maintain taste & authenticity. It is worth travelling to city for its food & I hope you get title of michelin star soon.
Probably my favourite meal I've ever had in Montreal, & I've been very fortunate to eat at most of the cities top restaurants. Fantastic ambience in a small but well thought out space. Great for a date or a meal with friends. Ask for the corner booth if you can, it's a real "chefs table" experience. Corey took excellent care of us even though he was alone on the bar & serving simultaneously, lovely person & very skilled bartender. Incredibly enjoyable meal, started with the soup & moved to sharing the Braised Pork, Chili Paneer, & Chicken Manchurian. All 10/10 dishes. Huge portions, very well priced (Dinner for 4 people, 2 courses, $160 pre tip) & the flavour was the closest to eating in South Asia I've ever experienced in North America. Don't be discouraged by a "small menu" as I saw a few people mention. This is the definition of doing every dish well, & I look forward to trying each of their mains in my next visits. There are many good restaurants in Montreal, but few that are truly exceptional. Oorja is exceptional & their chef should be proud. A Michelin star is inbound if they can maintain this standard.
We were on a family trip to Montreal via Quebec City & were heavily craving good Indo Chinese when we found this place. The ambience was amazing. The menu was surprisingly small but the flavours packed in each dish was amazing. Ive not had food this delicious for a very long time & being from Toronto we do have a lot of Indo Chinese places around, but this one tops them all. The staff was super friendly, attentive & polite. The only flaw was, I wished the portion size was bigger but overall & prices a little moderate but overall its a good place. Now everytime im in Montreal this is going to be my must visit.
Ate here late last Sunday nite & was pleasantly surprised. The momos were fantastic & the cocktails were top notch, as well as my mussels served with curry. But this review is not about the food, it's about Dima. He was the absolute hero of our night. Amazing banter, amazing hospitality. Introduced us to some great new drinks, really sold the menu, & took care of us in so many ways. Thank you so much, Dima, from the bottom of my heart. I hope you go far in this life.
