Large Onigiris with great variety, very filling too :) Definitely try the chef's special those are the best! Great choice of songs for in-door dining btw 😄 Miso soup was also deliciousView more
One word, delicious... It was worth waiting in line for 5-10 minutes. Inside, there are a few seats available but it's very small. We ordered a bit of everything to try including the unagi, soy egg yolk, spicy raw tuna, Korean fried chicken & the salmon luxe. To be honest, the simpler the tastier! So the spicy tuna & soy egg yolk were my favorite. The salmon luxe had both tuna & salmon in it, but I couldn't taste the difference, so what's the point of getting it. Also, very good quality price. You get a huge onigiri for about 4$ if you go with the classics but it can go to 8$.View more
A good choice for an easy & fun lunch. The onigiri are very fresh & tasty. You can easily eat for under 10$ if you want to or try the chef's specials for a bit of a treat. Definitely worth trying out a couple. It's a cute spot to sit & eat.View more

The Ultimate Carb Bomb! 📌S1: Salmon Luxe Spicy fresh salmon, cooked salmon, ikura, & furikake 📌C3: Pork-Tama Braised pork, egg yolk, & green onion. Satisfaction!View more
No hate towards the business at all, but I think the food is really mid & I can make better onigiris at home, so I wouldn't recommend ! I took the friend chicken (this was more like grilled, there was not crispiness or batter at all) & salmon one, which both really lacked flavor. They are huge tho, which is nice, but at the end of the day, it's just rice! Did not understand the hype around this?View more
Très bon onigiris, l'attente en vaut la peine ❤️View more
Tiny place with big flavors. There is a line, & the provided shelter doesn't really do anything to help. Not sure why it said "STM" on it, but... C'est la vie (c'est la vie... That's life) Go get an onigiri. It's good here.View more
For the price & portion size, this place is fantastic. I'm a pretty big eater, so sushi meals are usually expensive but here I'm full for about 20$. I will say the ingredients are not the freshest (I don't recommend the tuna) nor is the rice the best seasoned, but for the price it's great!View more
New gem in the hood on Monkland ave. Handmade fresh onigiri. Recommended: Fuji mountain onigiri & the almond tofu dessert.View more
this was a very pleasantly surprising discovery !! the onigiris are surprisingly cheap : & it's not because the quality is bad. there's a lot of filling, & it's good quality : fresh fish, egg, cheese, avocado, etc. the employees were nice & hard at work, the kicthen was clean. the onigiris were very filling & I felt satisfied after one. it was very crowded, I guess it was a victim of it's own success !! we managed to find a seat, wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't too bad. i'll definitely be going back for an affordable delicious meal !!View more
The rice is unseasoned Honestly don't fall into the hype it's just unseasoned rice in a ball with some ingredients, it was very dissapointing If you want tasty Onigiris just go to MTL K Food or at the onigiri lady on McGill station near the eaton center entrance, those are real good ones The place is also not cleanest tbh You guys can do betteView more
Fresh & packed with flavours - this is my second time & won't be the last haha ! Make sure to time well when you come to order because it is busy for a reason. I personally am a big fan of the egg yolk, unagi & salmon luxe ones.View more
An absolutely delightful surprise! Stopped here with a friend as we were walking by & found a real gem - the food is delicious (& I was delighted to find gluten free options that were clearly labeled!), the staff were extremely friendly, & the restaurant itself is extremely cute & welcoming. I can't wait to go back!View more
Nestled in the heart of Montreal, the Onigiri Shop is a charming gem that brings the authentic flavors of Japan to our doorstep. As a fervent enthusiast of Japanese cuisine, I couldn't resist but indulge in their offerings & share my delightful experience. Upon stepping into the cozy ambiance of the Onigiri Shop, I was immediately greeted by the warm smiles of the staff & the inviting aroma of freshly prepared rice. The decor exuded a subtle Japanese aesthetic, with minimalist wooden furnishings & soft lighting that created an intimate dining atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the stars of the show - the onigiri. These delightful rice balls were nothing short of perfection. Each bite revealed a harmonious blend of flavors & textures, from the savory fillings to the perfectly seasoned rice. Whether it was the classic salmon, tuna mayo, or the more adventurous seaweed tempura, every onigiri was a symphony of taste that left me craving for more. What truly sets Onigiri Shop apart is their commitment to quality ingredients. The freshness of the seafood & the crispness of the vegetables spoke volumes about their dedication to authenticity & flavor. Every bite felt like a culinary journey through the streets of Tokyo, a testament to the skill & passion of the chefs behind the counter. Aside from their stellar onigiri selection, Onigiri Shop also offers a variety of sides & beverages to complement your meal. From traditional miso soup to refreshing green tea, there's something for every palate to enjoy. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Onigiri Shop was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, & eager to ensure that every diner had a memorable experience. Whether you're a seasoned sushi aficionado or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, you'll feel right at home at Onigiri Shop. In conclusion, Onigiri Shop is more than just a restaurant - it's a culinary haven where authenticity meets innovation. Price wise very affordable. With its charming ambiance, delectable onigiri, & impeccable service, it's no wonder that it has quickly become a favorite among locals & visitors alike. So if you find yourself craving a taste of Japan, look no further than Onigiri Shop for a truly unforgettable dining experience.View more
Friendly staff, good service. It was at peak hour so there were a lot of people, we could dine in or take it out. I'd say it's worth it, the onigiri were big & high quality. However, the taste was not that good to be honest. Having had authentic onigiri, those were way too salty for both people who like japanese food & those who don't eat it often. It had way too much salt & spices, so the rice was honestly not that yummy which is fatal for an onigiri shop. I also got terrible food poisoning, one of the worst I ever experienced & the only raw onigiri I had was the egg one. Overall a good shop, but not recommended for first timers & only go if you really crave a fast filling japanese meal.View more
