There are plenty of options, everything is made fresh, & there is a bit of something for everyone. Just don't expect to be able to sit down at the restaurant because seating is very limited & it is very popular. I also wish the store had more convenient store hours but that is a nitpick.View more
Small cozy vibe that has outside table! I went there with my husband & the food was excellent ! Great portion, absolutely love the place ! Have a good varieties choice there to choose from, too bad is located a hour from us because we would most likely go there more often 😅 My husband absolutely love the beef & chicken one & I agreed with him 🫶 the seasoning was on point, we didn't need to add any extra sauce Located near to metro Villa-Maria on the orange line has a bus or we can walk few minutes to get to this place! Will come back for sure !! This is one of the best onigiri we've tried in montreal ! 💕View more
Really yummy & filling. Absolutely worth popping up for lunch!View more
Best onigiri I've had in my life! The staff is helpful & the food is reasonably priced, delicious & made with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended.View more
We want something knew & we heard about this place!View more
cool spot at monkland, 4$ onigiris are good, buy a cheap drink at the provigo next to it or get free water ( a rarity these days, really glad they have it) at the place sometimes gets cramped, service can be unreliable at times, but the relatively cheap food & atmosphere makes up for it. would defiently get the taiwanese pork onigiri, by far the best one, you can also get spicy salmon keep in mind that these onigiris are mostly worth it for the 4$ price & atmosphere, if any of this changes so will my reviewView more
The quality of Japanese rice used is good. Rice & filling are both equally delicious & nice for lunch or dinner.View more
I think I just found my new favorite snack place for a quick bite. The city needs more places like this onigiri restaurant!View more
Cool little shop that's sharing the space with SushiSama. The shop has a nice vibe that fits well with the neighborhood. The service is quick & simple. You order, get a buzzer & chill until it's ready. The size of the onigiri is quite big! & they are flavor bomb! They have a nice selection of onigiri to satisfy all your cravings. The rice is warm & fluffy & the ingredients are fresh. This is a nice addition to the scene that's packed with sushi shops & poke shops.View more
Their onigiris are very delicious & they have so many different options!View more
Délicieux, attente d'environ 20-30min, longue file, mais en vaut la peine! Je recommande: Fuji moutain, Braized pork Taiwanese, fresh salmon (raw)View more
Lengthy review alert First, I started going to Onigiri shop pretty early on, I would say from January 14 as I saw it opened & was interested in trying it. I first went with friends & we each ordered a bunch of different onigiris to try as many flavors. We were blown away by how good it is (yes it is just rice & filling & seaweed technically) & had to get extra to share with other friends. But simple things are even harder to be delicious! The place is a little small, it cannot accommodate that many people, maybe 15-18 people to sit inside. They do share the space with the sushi store. I have since been almost weekly as it was always delicious & fresh. I guess this is a sign to just say that I have went there pretty often. Amongst all the times I have went I do need to precise that I have never gotten food poisoning, & neither have my friends & family. Contrary to that, they were also smitten by the onigiris. During the period where they weren't as busy, the owner had offered us tonjiru soup, as I kept asking every week but never had it, ultimately he did decide to remove it. (It was delicious) He was always super nice & welcoming, offering hot water (Very nice in cold weather) I will be adding pictures of all the onigiris I had eaten, some are discontinued. I have basically eaten all the old menu except the one with fried chicken (includes Kpop) Every onigiri is big & they do not skimp on the filling. I tend to go for at least 1 classic & 1 "fancy" one. 2 is enough for me & 3 honestly is overkill but I do enjoy having multiple flavors. I have experienced both pre & ante virality & I can say for sure the quality remained the same. I did go less after it went viral as it is always packed, but they have a system & they hired more workers! I truly believe they deserve the hype & I am very happy that their business is going so well. All in all, very delicious. Would always go. I recommend the Salmon Luxe & eel! (But honestly everything is good)View more
The atmosphere is good; it's not really a dinning experience as in there is space to sit but very cramped However, the onigiris really make up for it they are good & the price is perfect for a student like me. The menu is really well made sure to find something that tickles your fancy. Service is a bit rough but it is to be expected for such a small space. The people are always nice & professional.View more
Price is ok but overall a little underwhelming in flavour. Not exactly like Japanese onigiri but a more westernized version with interesting varieties. Needs more salt & seaweed must be crispier.View more
Incredible onigiri, with snappy nori, perfectly cooked rice & amazing fillings! It's quite a small place so it's difficult to find seating if it's busy but eating in is a must, since the decor & presentation are very lovely. Many vegetarian, fish & meat-based options.View more
It's actually quite good. I was skeptical at first because of some reviews saying they got food poisoning, glad to know the staff corrected the hygiene. Prices are fair (between 3.99 & 5.75) & they really stuff it to the max : onigiris are big & filling. I bought 3 : korean chicken & tama, the salmon avocado & the beef. Definitely get the salmon & avocado & try a 2nd one. A perfect place for takeout lunch since the shop is quite small.View more
