We recently tried The Onigiri Shop & were really impressed. I ordered eight different onigiri along with a miso soup, & everything was delicious. The flavors were great & you can tell the food is made with quality ingredients.
The new owners are doing an excellent job. The care they put into the food really shows, & it made the whole experience feel special.
It's always nice discovering a place like this in the area. We'll definitely be coming back again & again. Highly recommend stopping by & trying it! 🍙
The people who take your order are very nice & dedicated to their job. The food is great, the tempura onigiri is probably my favorite with the ramen coming in close second. If you have the chance, definitely visit this amazing onigiri shop.

New employees were training in the day I went so maybe be patient with them. :p
Stopped in after seeing that this place had recently reopened & changed administration. Ordered two onigiri (salmon & kani) as well as a Kani salad.
The salad was very basic lettuce & cucumber but there was a good amount of crabstick onnit & the dressing was very good.
The onigiri how much bigger than I was expecting, very generously stuffed, well-wrapped & the rice had a lot of flavor to it.
I found the price very reasonable, $21, taxes in tip included for all the items plus a canned soda.
The wait time was also fair.
There isn't really atmosphere to speak of in this location there are two tables so I would prioritize takeout rather than trying to dine in.
Seems like the new administration is ready to make a success of this location.
Si j'avais pu donner 6 étoiles sur 5, je l'aurais fait sans hésiter. Pour vrai, je suis entré sans aucune attente particulière, juste de passage, & je ne m'attendais pas à grand-chose. La personne qui m'a accueilli était tout simplement parfaite : gentille, polie, courtoise, avec un sourire qui donne tout de suite le goût de rester. Déjà là, ça commençait bien.
Ensuite, je regarde le menu & je tombe presque en bas de ma chaise juste à voir les prix. Honnêtement, dans le contexte actuel où tout coûte une fortune, je me disais que ça ne se pouvait pas. Des prix comme ça, ça veut souvent dire qu'on coupe dans la qualité. J'étais donc curieux, mais un peu sceptique.
Eh bien, laissez-moi vous dire que j'ai été littéralement renversé quand j'ai pris ma première bouchée. Je suis tombé en bas de mon banc d'auto, rien de moins! Les onigiri étaient frais, savoureux, parfaitement préparés. On goûte que c'est fait avec soin & passion. Chaque bouchée était un petit bonheur, & je me répétais à quel point c'était fou de manger quelque chose d'aussi délicieux pour un prix aussi abordable.
Honnêtement, dans une époque où manger pas cher & bien manger semble rendu impossible, Onigiri Shop vient briser ce mythe.
Si vous cherchez un repas rapide, frais, goûteux, abordable & servi avec le sourire, ne cherchez pas plus loin: Onigiri Shop, c'est LA place!

i had already been to 2-3 other locations, so i knew i wouldn't be disappointed with this one! it's small but cozy, so the staff interactions felt intimate too.
as expected, the food was amazing! we actually ordered 4 onigiris but they forgot to charge us for 1. it ended up being on the house - merci philippe! 🙏🏼 we'll be back & happy to have onigiri shop in ile perrot!! ☺?
I've visited other branches of this onigiri shop, but the Île-Perrot location truly stands out thanks to the incredible service. The employee who welcomed us went above & beyond - warm, friendly, & genuinely attentive, making the whole experience feel special. On top of the delicious, fresh onigiri that never disappoints, the kindness & professionalism here really make a difference. This will definitely be my go-to branch from now on. Highly recommend!
