The food is amazing & authentic, using sumac & grenadine syrup, the service is always personalized & quick & the restaurant is cozy. Always our go to!
Have previously lunched at the St-Denis Omnivore & dined at Omnivore on St-Laurent boulevard. Both were great! But I would advise against going to Omnivore West Island. The service is subpar. How? Well the notion of courses is foreign to this establishment: soup is served WITH the main course, so by the time one gets to the main course, the food is cold. Also, if you order a shish taouk brochette, expect unmarinated, ordinary chicken, not that tender shish taouk taste. Furthermore, staff cleared table before this patron had finished his meal, the implied message being'this is a fast food restaurant'. But this client was under the impression that Omnivore is NOT a fast food place… Food wise, the fatoush salad was soggy & disappointing, & the kibbes were partially burnt. The chicken was very ordinary, far from the delightful Lebanese/Levantine way of preparing chicken. On the plus side, the lentil soup was quite tasty. To put as positive a spin as possible: yes to Omnivore, but no to the West Island Omnivore.
One of the better Lebanese bites of the West Island. Delicious all over.
Hidden gem alert 🚨✨ Delicious Lebanese food that's fresh, flavorful, & way better than fast food! 😋
Had a wonderful brunch at Omnivore West Isalnd. Delicious Lebanese cuisine with lots of options for salads, & sandwiches. A good joint to hang out with family / friends. Highly recommended.
Great little local Lebanese eatery. Food was of great quality at a very fair price. Wait staff were friendly & attentive.
Highly recommended any of the wraps!
Best Lebanese food!! service is amazing & speedy. The owner makes sure you're very well taken care of whenever he's around. definitely a must try in the west island!!!
The pinnacle of Lebanese food! Everything is to die for! The garlic sauce is world class along with the rest of the fresh menu! Best in the west hands down!
A cozy little place on St Jean. Very tasty Lebanese food. It was our first time here & we liked it. The food, the service, & the atmosphere were all good. All in all, it was worth our time & money. I recommend giving it a try.
Really cute place with great service & authentic Lebanese food made with care. We loved the experience. I look forward to going back & try other dishes.
Always a warm welcome & smiles from all staff; servers, cooks & kitchen staff. Joyful & pleasant decor, lots of REAL plants...tastefully decorated during holidays, but not overly so. Don't feel rushed to leave whenever is over, ok to linger, whether alone or in a group (had a small group gathering of ladies in our 50s in the winter & we appreciated being able to actually hear one another speaking unlike many other restaurants where to noise level, music or acoustics of location make it difficult to have conversations). Some of us are of mixed Lebanese origins so we really appreciated the homemade Lebanese & fusion dishes. My personal favorites are the samac (fish) sandwich & the Thai fusion (chicken instead of beef) sandwichwith peanut sauce. Love the homemade lemonade with hint of mint.
There were two servers on Saturday night that went above & beyond. They took their time to explain the menu & made the whole experience delightful. We eat a lot of Lebanese food but often Montreal is reduced to fast food type places. Omnivore really takes it up a notch (the cauliflower salad is absolutely fabulous). Thanks for making our quiet date night a very nice meal with fantastic service.
Yesterday night I had supper with my bestfriends at this homemade Lebanese restaurant & was very impressed! The cleanliness standards were exceptional. The attention to detail in both the ambiance & the food presentation truly reflected their commitment to quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Lebanese cuisine in a spotless environment!
I am not Lebanese myself but I love their food! It is a good throwback to the middle east. They serve all kinds of foods but what I chose to order for my first time is potatoes with garlic, freshly squeezed lemonade & a pita chicken sandwich. The food was delicious & felt homemade, the service was excellent & the restaurant was clean. Overall very nice experience!
Yesterday's meal at this restaurant was pleasant, but regrettably, my husband experienced an allergic reaction to peanuts afterward, necessitating a trip to the hospital via ambulance. We ordered a variety of salads, unaware that the orzo salad contained peanuts. While we typically check ingredients meticulously, we didn't anticipate peanuts in Lebanese cuisine, particularly in a pasta salad. As someone of Middle Eastern heritage, I can attest that peanuts are not a customary ingredient in our cuisine. This presents a significant risk given the prevalence of peanut allergies. Moreover, as visitors from Boston, this unforeseen incident incurred substantial expenses & disrupted our trip. I implore the restaurant to reconsider including peanuts in their dishes to ensure the safety of their patrons. The unexpected presence of peanuts in Lebanese cuisine can catch individuals with this allergy off guard.
