Overall, Olu 'Olu Poke is described as a place with fresh, varied ingredients and sauces that really lift the bowls, paired with fast and courteous service and a cozy grab-and-go vibe that suits a healthy midday meal. Many reviews call the poke bowls among the best in town and note consistent freshness and flavorful preparations. There are also comments about higher prices and occasional toppings that feel sparse relative to the rice. A few diners report inconsistency in quality, including a Rainbow poke that was extremely spicy and some fish that tasted bland when not properly seasoned. An update recounts a customer service effort that offered free bowls and restored quality. For those seeking recommendations, salmon bowls and chicken Katsu bowls are highlighted, and the Oppa Korea bowl is often praised. Overall, the sentiment is that Olu 'Olu Poke is fresh, tasty, and well prepared, even though experiences can vary.
Food: quality has gone down, wondering if it has a new owner. How can you use black pepper instead of spicy mayo?
Service: the lady at the counter is very pushy & not bilingual.
Atmosphere: it's a grab & go place
This is the third time we order from this place & poke was always good. However the last time we ordered a rainbow poke which we are used to order came absolutely spicy beyond belief to the point we had to throw it away. I'm really disappointed to spend over 50$ in food & it ends up in the garbage.
Update: I was contacted by the restaurant & was offered 2 bowls of my choice free of charge & the quality of the food was perfect.
I appreciate the excellent customer service!
The fish was just cubed up tuna, no seasoning or marinade at all (instead it was on the rice) which made the meal bland. Poke is a fish recipe, not the dish as a whole. $20 for 90% rice & ~10 pieces of plain cubed tuna was pretty disappointing.
I usually go at PokeMonster but wanted to try this one & omg it's the bomb! Sooooo good! I took the Oppa Korea, really recommend it! Super fresh & flavourful.
They seem very consistent in quality here! The Omao Omao & other bowls are very delicious. Ingredients are fresh too. Reasonable portion. Definitely my go to for poke!
