The two of us shared a Cuban sandwich, a smashed potato salad & a green salad. We were both very hungry since we skipped lunch but even after sharing everything, we left very full.
Everything we tried had the chef's touch. It was all cooked to perfection with such wonderful & fresh & unique flavors.View more
We split a Cuban sandwich, which was delicious & perfect for a light lunch.
Espresso was pretty good. They use some good locally roasted coffee so they definitely try.View more
The Cuban & Eggs on your Face sandwiches were delicious & not too spicy, just enough of a kick. Popular place so the wait time was about 15-20 minutes for a party of 2 but so worth it!View more
It's a quaint small restaurant that only serves breakfast & lunch.
The Cuban sandwich was delicious. The picture was half a serving as we've a dinner reservation & didn't want to stuff up.
The ginger iced tea was great for a hot day.View more
Food was tasty but not worth the price. We had their Cuban & Chicken sandwiches. & for the price they're charging, I'd expect more stuff within them.View more
Seeing no line outside at this renowned café, we jumped right in. The Parisian-style décor was unpretentious & inviting. The service was friendly & helpful. The famous sandwich'Le Cuban' with spicy mayo was delicious. The Canadiano coffee was rich & bold. Many options of viennoiseries available for grab-&-go.View more
The cuban panini was really good & super filling.View more
The 25 minute wait was worth it & exactly the amount of time they quoted! Great atmosphere with perfect sound level & music. Ricotta toast was perfect balance of sweet & savory. Cuban panini bread was incredible & the sandwich had a nice spicy kick! Will definitely be back.View more
Food is good but too expensive for the price: A Cuban panini & a raspberry lemonade should not cost 40 dollars!View more
My husband & I make this a sure stop each time we visit Montreal & each time we go, we are reminded why! The freshness, creativity, & pure deliciousness of their food never disappoints. While some might be sticker shy (it's an incredibly popular area), it's a must try at least once! The Elixir, potato salad, any French toast option, & Cuban panini are all so wonderful. & we are so excited to try some recipes out of the cookbook we purchased on our way out!View more
The Cuban sandwich costs $30 (tax incl.)! This is beyond crazy expensive!View more
Edit: came here again after a year & unfortunately the price is super high for worse quality imo. The drinks are so so, only the cuban sandwich is worth getting. - Recommended by our local friend! The cuban sandwich was by far the best panini ive ever had! The peach scone was also amazing, the place is busy & is a bit pricey though.View more
The panini here is really good, it's the best I've ever had. The croissant wasn't warm & was a bit hard. Panini "Poached egg on your face" 5/5 The Cuban Panini 5/5 Almond Croissant 3/5 Chocolatine 3/5 Sweet Ricotta 3/5View more
Phil from Somebody feed Phil sent me here! & he did not lie! The Cuban sandwich was sooo good! I now recreate this at home for my kids lunch at school or just to munch on but the one at the resto taste always better 😅 their scone & potato salad were also so good! I will definitely be coming back.View more
It was a cute place, I ordered the Cuban sandwich ( panini) it was good but not worth the price 30$ It's the usual Cuban sandwich recipe. Choose something else. The salad 24 was really good! Highly recommend!View more
This place is so good for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or for having some tea/coffee with some sweets. They get really busy at times, but the service is fast & everyone end up having a great time. We ordered "The Chicken Melt" & "The Cuban". Both were really fresh & delicious. We sat on the high chairs by the window & enjoyed the view of rue Notre Dame while having our lunch.View more
My absolute favourite brunch spot in Old Montreal.. the Cuban is amazing as always.. lovely selection of coffee & pastries.. 🥐View more
Overall we came here because of somebody feed Phil & can't imagine how busy it would be during high season. We opted our order to go. The hosts were very kind & friendly. I had the Cuban. - amazing sandwich. Would I spend $27 good? Nah, but whatever. We are on vacation. Wife had the salad. - there was hardly any chicken which was a bummer. Maybe not the most gluten friendly restaurant. Kids had a grilled cheese. - they liked it. Quite small.View more
Cute & quaint. Smashed Potato salad is a must. Cuban sandwich was delish. Salted Ricotta was also great with salty caramelized onions in the salad served with it. Our servers were all very kind. Great music. Windows were open letting in a breeze. Decor & overall feel was very cute. Spent $100 ordering 3 dishes, coffee, orange juice & a pasterie to go. Not a cheap spot but definitely worth the visit.View more
We arrived right before it opened & there was a small line up forming. We were seated & the staff began to take orders right away. Coffees & other drinks came out fairly quickly. We ordered the cuban sandwich & a sconewich. The cuban sandwich was so zesty & comforting. The pressed sandwich was definite my favourite. Great amount of cheese & meat & the sauce was a good complement. Sconewich was something new we tried, we will try to replicate it at home as it was a good combination.View more
Olive & Gourmando is a nice spot for breakfast & lunch. Despite being busy, the service was fast. We enjoyed our cappuccinos & almond croissants, which were delicious. The Cuban sandwich was a standout-packed with flavor & oozing with cheese. Overall, a great place for a tasty meal.View more
The best potato salad of my entire entire life that was worth the wait time ! Only 35 min wait for 2 people on a Sunday & they were accurate with the timing. Chicken sandwich would pass honestly the Cuban was better for sure. Price was pretty high for a brunchView more
$27 for a Cuban sandwich is kind of a lot, but it was pretty good. Not $27 good though. Great coffee & pastries which are reasonably priced. Watching the staff run around was excellent entertainment. I didn't see them order but they ATE.View more
Always a busy spot. Food never disappoints here. The cuban sandwich is the best in town.View more
This was one of the best (if not the best) dining experiences on our trip to Quebec. Cozy little cafe with amazing cubans, pastries, & loose leaf tea served out of a teapot. Very busy, but fast & friendly service. All around great experience!View more
The food is good, but it's quite expensive. We got the Cuban & grilled cheese sandwiches, along with a cappuccino, & the total came out to $71 (including taxes & tip). Was it good? Yes. Was it $70 good? That's debatable. I'd go again for the grilled cheese & get a cappuccino elsewhere.View more
My experience here was excellent. I had the Cuban sandwich & the Mac N Cheese, both were excellent & the temperature of the food was perfect when brought to the table. I had the Chocolatine & it was okay, it may have been better if I had had it earlier in the morning when more fresh. The service was quick & friendly. This place can get quite busy, so plan to wait if you are visiting during a prime time. Our waiter was bilingual (English & French) as are most staff it seems!View more
The food is really good. I personally loved the Cuban sandwich. The chicken melt was also decent. What was really a let down were their staff. We were seated in a very uncomfortable spot. When they delivered the food they wouldn't leave the cutlery. They are in a rush to take the cutlery away & i wasn't even done using it nor was i done with my food. I thought that was very rude of the staff & we weren't even there for 30mins in total. A truly unpleasant experience for a gem of a place.View more
Amazing food!! A must try if you are visiting Montreal. I made sure to have brunch here both the times I was visiting the city. Absolutely try the Tex Mex baked egg & the Poached egg on your face panini. The Cuban sandwich was also good. The bakery products are great but the chocolate banana brioche is the star. The place is super popular & gets really packed & might have long waiting hours so try to go a little ahead of the peak hours.View more
I saw this place in Somebody Feeds Phil & did not disappoint. The place is cozy & the staff is very friendly, you'll get a seat pretty quick. I was surprised as I felt that the prices were pretty fair for what you get. I tried the chicken sandwich & it was so good that I repeat the visit the next day for which I had the Cuban sandwich. Is also located in close to Notre Dame & some of the downtown hotels, I will return if I have the chanceView more
