Got a lamb skewer, a few bowl of noodles & soup, & pork chives dumplings pan fried with chilli oil & peanut sauce. Lamb skewer was good with great flavour & moist. The noodle soup wasn't overly salty & the soup base was flavourful while it didn't make me thirsty, the dumplings were incredibly flavourful & the extra sauces provided incredible amount of variety in taste. Overall great experience!View more
Really great spot, food comes quick & hot. Pork dumplings are definitely the best.View more
The dumplings here are great. I tried the classic pork & chive option, & was happy with what I received. For a low price, you receive plenty of yummy dumplings & good service. Hoping to return again when I visit Montreal next.View more
Right in the middle of Chinatown, price is all right, paid around 50$ total for two appetizers & two fried dumplings, potato salad & the shallots pancake were great, the pork & leek dumplings were really tasty, less of a fan of the egg leek & shrimp, both of them missed a bit of salt in my opinion but overall happy with it!View more
We had the pork dumplings, the spinach dumplings, & the carrot dumplings (all steamed). They were all delicious. Very fresh & served steaming hot. The sauce served with them was great. An order is 15 dumplings at a great price point. We would definitely go back for more!View more
came here twice - tried the chicken & coriander/cilantro dumplings & the pork & chives. both flavors were excellent; but we found the chicken/coriander one more memorable. 15 pieces for about CA $13/14 was a great deal for a quick meal. if you plan on doing takeout with a lot of dishes, bring your own bag as they do not include one (or you can purchase one for 25 cents)View more
The staff were kind enough to seat us half an hour before the 9 pm closing, & spoke excellent English. We had an order of pork & cabbage dumplings, which were juicy & flavorful. Also had incredibly crispy & light salt & pepper chicken, & beef noodles, lightly fried, not greasy. True, it's not an extensive menu, but it was longer than the other dumpling place's down the street. The interior was basic & clean, but you're not coming for ambience. We enjoyed watching the ladies make the dumplings by hand, from their glassed in station. We're from out of town but eat good Chinese food often in NYC at its various Chinatowns. I can be snobby about Asian food, being Asian myself. I have this well proven theory that the best Chinese places don't bother too much about decor & fancy bathrooms, they are all about the food. This, my friends, is the real deal, although the menu isn't that adventurous, it's got some very well executed greatest hits. My somewhat picky 8 year old couldn't stop eating the dumplings & chicken! We will try to eat here again during our trip.View more
Oh dumplings indeed! I wish I could go here daily. Ordered two types of dumplings, pork & beef. Both were simply mind blowing, a delight to eat with each bite. I didn't want the meal to stop. Service was very fast & friendly. Hot damn do I want more of those dumplings again. Decor was ok, menus & tables were pleasantly not sticky. On a gloomy rainy day I can't think of a much better experience than a hot & sour soup followed by two massive orders of dumplings to chase to blues away. Go there now & just immerse yourself in the dumpling filled euphoria. PS. Prices are great, tons for your dollar.View more
Excellent pork & chives dumplings. Enjoyed the pig ears as well. The green onion pancake was a disappointment, it tasted like the ones from frozen packs in supermarket. The dumpling noodle soup came with only 6-dumplings. Very busy restaurant.View more
My friend & I ordered a couple different types of dumplings, & oh were they good! The standard pork & cabbage, & then the fish & coriander were our choices. The dumplings we perfectly steamed producing a delicate texture similar to perfectly al dente pasta. Not overly thick out tough. Both fillings were cooked all the way through & weren't overly dense it hard, plus they didn't separate from the wrapper when eaten, making the enjoyment of the dumpling as a whole much easier & enjoyable. The flavor of both of our choices was the topper as they were delicious! Both e flavor of the pork & fish subbed through complimented perfectly by the seasoning & their additional components. The number of dumplings or order was quite substantial, I'm guessing 12 to 15 which was the icing on the cake. This place want overly packed, but was busy with a side assortment of people. We ordered it's to go & ate them outside at some tables nearby.View more
Being a dumpling fan, I had to try this place (has been open for approx. 1yr). You can view the menu online, there's is alot of other options if your not a dumpling kinda person.
We had (15) steamed chicken & coriander dumplings, (15) pan fried(one sided) pork & chinese cabbage dumplings & a side (wich could be a entree because it's huge) of cold spicy noodle salad (cucumbers, chinese watermelon, egg, rice noodles). All of it was delicious! First off, 15 dumplings for 10-12$ is a great value. The stuffing was juicy & tasty, far from some bland dumplings I've had out there. The cold noodle salad sounds weird, you imagine a cold plate of naked spaghetti, but it's completly the opposite, tasty, saucy, spicy, lots of vegs.
The bathroom is a hike up four flights of stairs so not exactly convenient for the elderly or children.
My only complaint is the service. Waiter only speaks english, he never came around to fill up our water glasses, nor did he offer a fork (could have been useful for noodles), we never got extra napkins.
I will definetely go back for the pan fried dumplings & try out some other noodle flavors.
