We decided to try Oh Dumplings in Chinatown, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
First thing to point out the service was very slow. We took into consideration that there were other people at the restaurant, but the delays were still hard to justify. Our order included Beef & Coriander Dumplings, Fish & Coriander Dumplings, General Tao Chicken, Chicken Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, & Wonton Soup.
The dumplings came out after about 15-20 minutes, followed by the General Tao shortly after. But then, we waited around 40-45 minutes for the rest of our food. By the time the noodles & fried rice arrived, we had already finished the dumplings & General Tao, sitting at an empty table for almost an hour just waiting for the rest. At that point, we honestly lost our appetite.
The food itself is okay nothing mind-blowing but decent. The dumplings were flavorful, especially with the coriander touch. The General Tao was on the sweeter side, which may not be for everyone. The fried rice & noodles were fine, but after waiting so long, we didn't really enjoy them as much as we could have.
Overall if you have patience & time to spare, the food is passable, but nothing about the taste justifies that long of a wait. We likely won't be returning anytime soon unless they improve the service speed.View more
Got a lamb skewer, a few bowl of noodles & soup, & pork chives dumplings pan fried with chilli oil & peanut sauce. Lamb skewer was good with great flavour & moist. The noodle soup wasn't overly salty & the soup base was flavourful while it didn't make me thirsty, the dumplings were incredibly flavourful & the extra sauces provided incredible amount of variety in taste. Overall great experience!View more
This is our go to when we are in the area!!! The dumplings are so tasty, the beef fried noodles are yummy. Always very satisfying, fast & great service. Just the water jugs are a bit sketchy.View more
Had a mixed experience. While the chicken dumplings, fried rice, & noodles were good, the veg dumplings & veg balls were not upto the mark (infact left them in the plate). Service was a bit disappointing-one waiter seemed rude (possibly due to the rush), & the 15% tip was automatically added to the bill, without giving us a choice. Overall, ok for non-veg lovers, but vegetarians & those expecting flexible service might be disappointed.View more
The staff were kind enough to seat us half an hour before the 9 pm closing, & spoke excellent English. We had an order of pork & cabbage dumplings, which were juicy & flavorful. Also had incredibly crispy & light salt & pepper chicken, & beef noodles, lightly fried, not greasy. True, it's not an extensive menu, but it was longer than the other dumpling place's down the street. The interior was basic & clean, but you're not coming for ambience. We enjoyed watching the ladies make the dumplings by hand, from their glassed in station. We're from out of town but eat good Chinese food often in NYC at its various Chinatowns. I can be snobby about Asian food, being Asian myself. I have this well proven theory that the best Chinese places don't bother too much about decor & fancy bathrooms, they are all about the food. This, my friends, is the real deal, although the menu isn't that adventurous, it's got some very well executed greatest hits. My somewhat picky 8 year old couldn't stop eating the dumplings & chicken! We will try to eat here again during our trip.View more
Excellent pork & chives dumplings. Enjoyed the pig ears as well. The green onion pancake was a disappointment, it tasted like the ones from frozen packs in supermarket. The dumpling noodle soup came with only 6-dumplings. Very busy restaurant.View more

Being a dumpling fan, I had to try this place (has been open for approx. 1yr). You can view the menu online, there's is alot of other options if your not a dumpling kinda person.
We had (15) steamed chicken & coriander dumplings, (15) pan fried(one sided) pork & chinese cabbage dumplings & a side (wich could be a entree because it's huge) of cold spicy noodle salad (cucumbers, chinese watermelon, egg, rice noodles). All of it was delicious! First off, 15 dumplings for 10-12$ is a great value. The stuffing was juicy & tasty, far from some bland dumplings I've had out there. The cold noodle salad sounds weird, you imagine a cold plate of naked spaghetti, but it's completly the opposite, tasty, saucy, spicy, lots of vegs.
The bathroom is a hike up four flights of stairs so not exactly convenient for the elderly or children.
My only complaint is the service. Waiter only speaks english, he never came around to fill up our water glasses, nor did he offer a fork (could have been useful for noodles), we never got extra napkins.
I will definetely go back for the pan fried dumplings & try out some other noodle flavors.
