This is a unique & savory experience. Of course it depends on the person what they make of things, but the setting of total darkness can facilitate the feeling of novelty that is abundant in childhood. The staff is friendly & resourceful, it's amazing how they can provide impeccable service in the dark. Truly a must visit in Montreal!
One of the best sensorial experience I had. Dining in a dark room was a ride that I very much enjoyed. The hostess & the waiter Sami were both warm, genuinely friendly & did the best to accommodate us. For your meal, you can choose to be surprised & you will be told what was your plate when you walk out of the restaurant. The food was delightful. My favourite was the profiteroles dessert. During summer, I recommend the mojito florito, a delicious & refreshing cocktail.
The atmosphere: For the bar itself, it has a very comfortable atmosphere. For the dinning dark room, there is no light totally! Everything is perfect.
The dishes: We tried the "surprise dishes", clients can choose 2 or 3 services. The price is very reasonable. After you decide the menu, you can enter the dark room to explore the darkness. The flavor of the dish is really good. I really recommend you to have a try.
Ps. All services are bilingual. The waiter/waitress will lead you into the darkroom.( you only need to put your hands on their shoulders) . After you seat youself, they will present you the locations of your knife & forks. If you have any questions during the dinner, you can just call their name. It's really a unique experience. That allows us to experience the life without visualization, however, other sense in the darkness will become very sensitive. If you don't have dark phobia & claustrophobia, It's really worth to go to this restaurant.
Very unique experience, worth the price. The complete darkness is slightly unsettling at first but once you adjust to it it's super cool & interesting. Definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent & the service was top notch. We had never dined in the dark. We were fascinated as well as a bit challenged by the experience. It's not easy to eat in the complete dark when you usually rely on your vision so much. My partner went for all the surprise dishes; they were all excellent. Great experience!
The overall experience was great ! Eating in the dark is one thing, but having to live for an hour & a half in the dark is even worse ! The food was good (it might have been perfect, but being that you don't actually see it, it doesn't feel as good) & the house drinks were perfect ! Would definitely recommend.
Only reason for it being 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It is very expensive for what you get, plate sizes are ok but you definitely pay for the experience more than anything else.

We loved our experience. The staff is very friendly, helpful & welcoming. The food is delicious. They accommodate all food restrictions, some people in our group had food allergies, others were vegetarians, they were able to offer a surprise menu to everyone respecting individual specificities. We had children with us, 10 to 12 years old, they all had a blast. We started singing happy birthday to my daughter & everyone in the restaurant joined along. Was such a magical moment & all that in pitch darkness. Good times!
An experience like no other. I would definately recommend this restaurant & will definately being going back again. I was a bit nervous being led into the pitch dark room at first. However, after a very short time, your other senses kick in. It is really hard to describe the experience in short, except for WOW !!!
The food was really good & the service is excellent.
It was a very special experience when we were led into the dining area by a hostess with visual impairments. The complete dark atmosphere gave us incomfortable feelings, but at the same time it stimulated our other senses to help finishing the meal. The dishes were delicious, although I had a hard time figuring out the side vegetables on my plate. The funniest part was that while spreading butter on a bun, I was spreading part of the butter on my thumb without noticing.
