Regular at Nyk's, always love coming here. The staff is great, food is good. Max & Jordan are very good & always give me great service. They have too many local beers on draft & I would like to see an Irish cream ale like Kilkenny on draft to increase variety.View more

Fish & chips were disappointing, the batter had no flavor & was greasy. Sitting on the fries made them greasy as well. The salad was oily & had no flavor. The staff was very good & the ambiance was awesome. I'll go for a beeView more

Sorry but we were underwhelmed by NYCS. We stopped in on a Friday & sat at the bar. We were told we'd have to leave in a short while as the bar seats were reserved. That's was new to us. We quickly ordered calamari & drinks. While the beer was good, the wine glass had at most 3 ounces. & when the calamari came, it was flavorful but tough. We bolted never to return.View more

Kitchen was closed so we could not eat. When we arrived, there was no one at the door & à lot of the tables were unoccupied, so we sat down. The server, gave us such an awkward look. Told us the table hadn't been cleaned & we should of waited at the door. She threw a menu on the table & left... We seriously thought of leaving, but another server came with & was a bit nicer. Beers were good, but service awful. Would not recommend unless you have nowhere else to go.View more

Absolutely awesome! It's one of the coolest restaurants/bars I've ever been to. The space was super clean & inviting. The Duck Confit salad was incredible, as were all the beers we had. Staff were generally friendly. They were super quick & attentive. Will definitely be back next time I am back in MontrealView more

A delightful spot for some incredible duck confit poutine, & the fillet mignon carpaccio was the best I've ever had! Great selection of beers, wines, & aperitifs/digestifs! Staff were all so accommodating, friendly, & attentive. Really a wonderful dining experience, would go back in a heartbeat.View more

I've been going to Nyks for years & the food is always perfect - I've eaten more than 100 burgers there! Everything is tasty - & if you've eaten your way around the menu then there's always 4-5 options on the menu of the day. The beer list is great - mix of local + a few pub favourites (like Guinness!) Go often enough & the staff will greet you by name & make sure your beer gets poured as you walk into the place. It's the only place in the area that has a real great cosy feeling when you open the door. Definitely a hangout for locals.
