Review Summary

Reviews of Nouilles de Lan Zhou consistently praise the hand pulled noodles, the rich and well balanced broths, and the large portions, with many calling the beef noodle soup or the weekend soup a standout and saying the noodles are made to order and come in a choice of thickness. The vegetarian combo is also highlighted for its herbaceous broth, fresh veggies, and a fragrant tea egg, while some find the veggie option a touch bland. Several comments mention fast, attentive service and a clean, welcoming space, especially at the newer location, though others note longer waits and a more uneven experience at the Chinatown branch. Language barriers and occasional service lapses are mentioned, including a server not speaking French to some patrons and a report of a sick waiter not masking. An allergy note cautions that the chili oil contains peanuts. Overall, it is viewed as a top pick for noodles in town; the flavors are memorable, but experiences can vary with location, crowding, and staff.

Phenomenal hand-pulled noodles!! I was looking for a quick, cheap, warm meal near my hotel & Nouilles de Lanzhou kept popping up in my Google / Yelp recommendations. I decided to poke my head in & was immediately greeted by the incredible fragrance of rich meat broths & savory stir-fried noodles. I settled in & grabbed their vegetarian combo set, which comes with a salad / appetizer of your choice, vegetable soup noodles, & a tea egg.

The noodles were absolutely incredible. They had a perfectly chewy, QQ texture & were super fun to eat. The soup noodles comes with the medium thickness noodles (san-xi), which is perfect for slurping. I was initially a bit nervous about how flavorful the vegetarian soup would be at a place that specializes in beef noodle soup, but it was fantastic; it was herbaceous, umami, & very tasty. The veggies were fresh & had a bit of crunch in them, & the tea egg was delightfully fragrant.

One note for folks with allergies - their chili oil has peanuts in it (or at least that's what the servers told me), so you can't use the chili oil at their table or get anything spicy (e.g., the cucumber salad).

Good tasting veggie ramen. The image on skip the dishes shows it comes with egg but mine didn't even though I paid more to get a bigger soup. The ingredients were a bit out of place for ramen. The noodles I got were the extra wide but they were too thick like pappardelle pasta, I thought they'd be like thin rice paper noodles you see all the influencers make. I'd recommend getting the normal ones
