Service & atmosphere were lovely.
But my friend I was with, we both found that the food was terrible.
Kang Dang Pak was small, tasted like a combination of warm leftover sweet cereal milk & that kraft dinner cheesy milk.
The Som Tum Thai salad was good, but small serving as well.
Then the Jus de Longane was like a lightly sweetened backwash, flavourless.
I had eaten here twice before, & it had been expensive then but the food was flavourful. This time around completely turned me off.
It all costs a little over $100 for two meals, a shared salad & two non-alcoholic drinks.
I'd suggest going have donair or shawarma instead for an evening.
Very good Thai food, I loved the papaya salad ❤?! Food was yummy & when they say spicey Thai level, they mean it! Wonderful atmosphere & super friendly service. Will be back for sure!
We stopped by the restaurant randomly because we were in the area & wanted to find somewhere to eat. The restaurant was full, but Elijah, one of the owners, was kind enough to take her number & text us when the next table was available. Elijah was extremely kind & welcoming. Everything we ate was delicious. We highly recommend the Yum Nam Khao Tod (fried rice salad) & the Pad Krapow (Sautéed Ground Pork with green beans in a spicy basil sauce). Easily the best Thai food we've had in the city. Make sure to stop by & enjoy the food!
The grilled chicken, coated in Thai spices, was generously portioned, & served with hot sticky rice & salad-it tasted fantastic! The chicken was tender, juicy, & delicious!
I recommend enjoying it as soon as it's served, while the skin is still crispy-that's when it's at its best!
Had the khao mun kai tom, the kor moo yang & the papaya salad. Everything was delicious. It's a family owned place & the service was really good as well. Will definitely be back again.
I will say that given the food quality & the demand they might need to add more chairs & tables soon.😆
We really enjoyed our dinner here. We had the papaya salad, pad Thai & Hainan style chicken & the mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious & light. We thoroughly enjoyed everything & felt great after :)
Highly recommend!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unbelievable hospitality & authentic comfort food!Traveling solo in Montreal for the Jazz Festival, I stumbled upon Noir Thai around 4:00 PM. Even though they were closed for a staff break, the host kindly let me sit inside. After I greeted the staff in Thai, the owner, Amy, came out of the kitchen & insisted on cooking for me right then & there! As someone who is half-Thai, finding a comforting, authentic meal on the road means everything. I ordered the green papaya salad (som tum) & the grilled pork with sticky rice. Both were absolutely incredible & hit the spot perfectly. You don't just get amazing food here-you get treated like family. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Great food, nice people, beautiful space. Tried the curry with sweet potato & bamboo shoots & the crispy rice salad, along with a Thai iced coffee. Very happy!
This family-owned Thai restaurant recently opened & has become my favorite in the city. The food is truly authentic & satisfying. The atmosphere & service is welcoming & warm. They were also very accommodating & attentive to my girlfriend's gluten-free diet restriction. Had the papaya salad, spicy wings, & pad thai which were absolutely delicious. The thai milk tea was also the best I've had in the city.
Our group of four had a great meal & enjoyable time.
We were very warmly welcomed by Elijah! Delicious meal & wholesome atmosphere. I had my gluten allergy accomodated to with great deligence & care. There were quite a few gluten-free options. I really enjoyed the pad thai & papaya salad. Looking forward to trying the gluten-free red curry the next time!
