Nothing outstanding (very basic Russian cuisine - nothing wow) & very little quantity for the high price tag, So it's definitely not worth going here more than one time. But service & atmosphere were really top notch!
I was wandering around & had no expectations when entering Nevski the other night, what a surprise! The staff are passionate & super caring for their customers, they really want to share their knowledge on Eastern European food & vodka! The small restaurant is a hidden gem & is worth every penny, the quality of the food is incredible considering the price you pay. I will definitely go back thanks to Darek (I think that's how you pronounce his name) & his crew!
I went there with my bf in july (2023). We were very disappointed. I don't plan to go back there & I don't recommand it even for drinks unless you want to pay 15$ for sugary water. I paid 15$ for a drink (Cocktail) which was basically a glass full of ice & then they put liquid in it to fill what's left (not much). Even without letting the ice melt, it tasted like it was alrealy too diulated. As for the food, we took 3 dishes of pelmini (dumplings). I did recognize the pelmini as the same frozen one that you can buy at any eastern european grocery stores. So, I wasn't happy to see that I was served with frozen pelmini with probably a sauce that was from a can, & some green onion to make it look fresh.
love this place, everything about it! Being Russian this is a place that truly shows off the best of the best of Soviet cuisine, but with a modern twist. The vybe, the art, music, even the location all is perfect. I’ve dreamt about a place like this appearing in Montreal. This location is way better than the previous one downtown, more intimate I’d say. It’s good for a date, girls night out, 5 a 7… you name it! Also beyond the food, in my humble opinion they have the best cocktails in Montreal. Thanks to Misha & the rest of the staff for the great service. Cannot wait to be back !
Beautifully decorated. Great vibe. The borscht was delicious! A lot of the non meat dishes had fresh dill. Such a refreshing taste but almost on all our dishes. Wish they had different sauces or spices. But then we thought...hmmm maybe the fresh sour cream & dill is their main sauce, just like Vietnamese food & their fish sauce!
But I will definitely eat this again.
Definitely recommend this place! The food & drinks were amazing & the guy who took care of us & our orders, had an amazing attitude & attention to what we needed. Looking forward to go back as soon as possible!💕
Nous sommes allé à l'ancienne adresse & aussi à cette nouvelle adresse. La nourriture est toujours aussi délicieuse quoi que pas nécessairement authentique. Nous avons cependant été décus par le nouvel emplacement, l'ambiance est moins bonne, moins intime. Aussi, il semble qu'ils focusent plutot sur les drinks que la nourriture mainteant. Petite déception ici.

J'ai apprécié mon expérience russe, une première pour moi, de ce midi avec deux collègues. Les plats sont rassasiants & j'ai adoré la salade de carottes. Nous avons partagé nos plats pour découvrir le menu. Le décor est joli & il y a assez d'espace entre les tables pour ne pas avoir l'impression de manger avec ses voisins. Par contre, j'ai moins aimé attendre en ligne pour passer ma commande. Une caisse de plus pour prendre les commandes ne serait pas de trop.
