An excellent spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine with incredibly fast & friendly service. I ordered the spicy soup, which arrived steaming hot & packed with flavor; -it came with beef steaks, pork, & pork knuckle. Great broth, perfect for cold weather.View more
I love going to My Canh when I am in Montreal. It's really what you can expect of a vietnamese family restaurant! The decor could use a refresh but the food needs no improvement! It's perfect. I had the banh xeo for once. It was crispy, coconutty & not too oily. They can only make it when the restaurant is not too busy since it's a giant affair but don't skip if it's possible! I also got a bun with pork (so sweet & crispy!!) & spring rolls.View more
Delicious & unique Vietnamese dishes that I have not seen elsewhere. Owner was also very nice despite our limited communication. Would recommend for an affordable & hearty meal in the area!View more
Authentic Vietnamese food. They don't speak English but the menu is understandable. Delicious pho, general tao chicken & rolls? 🤤🤤View more
Bun Oc (Vietnamese Escargot Noodle Soup) originated in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a vermicelli rice noodle soup with a tomato-based broth made from slowly simmering chicken & pork bones. It is topped with the infamous escargotView more
My go-to Vietnamese place in Montreal! The restaurant is conveniently located in Chinatown, family-run, & serves some very delicious pho. Broth is not too salty (which can be a common problem for pho) & they give really generous portions! You will not be disappointed :)View more
I was there today with my wife & we had the worst experience ever. We ordered a specific soup & we were given a different one. That's fine, everyone makes a mistake. We simply told the waiter about the mistake & were waiting for the correct soup. That's when the horror show started. The manager heard about this & whispered to the waiter: "force them to eat this soup" (the manager probably assumed we couldnt understand Vietnamese). Despite this, the waiter took the wrong soup back to the kitchen. When he brought the "correct" one, we noticed that they just changed the bowl & the kind of meat, keeping the same noodle & soup base. Again, the manager probably assumed we didn't know the difference between the different soups. Any restaurant, or any shop for that matter, that treats the customers like this deserves no respect from us. Spread the word & let people know. & next time they whisper something in Vietnamese, be aware they may be saying something unpleasant about you...
