Reviews describe Muru Crêpe as a charming Totoro themed café in Old Montreal with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that suits families and travelers alike. Crepes are praised for being light, golden, and slightly crisp at the edges, with standout options like the crème brûlée crepe and matcha tiramisu crepe, alongside a wide range of sweet and savory choices. Latte art and visually striking drinks, including rose latte and hojicha and matcha beverages, appear frequently in praise along with strong coffee and tea. The decor is repeatedly noted as adorable and Instagram ready, perfectly matching the Studio Ghibli Totoro theme. Service is described as friendly and efficient, though the small space can lead to wait times and occasional slower pacing when busy. Some reviews mention prices as a bit high for portions, but many feel the quality, atmosphere, and experience justify the cost. Fans of the theme often call it a must visit and say they would return for the charming environment and tasty crepes.
I went with my best friends!! We sat next to a giant Totoro plushie. The lattes & drinks had cute little art & the decoration of the place was amazing. The waiter was quick & kind & the wait to get in wasn't too long. The crepes were delicious but not the best I've ever had, but if you're walking in expecting a crepe that's exactly what you'll get :) I recommend the three cheese salty crepe
Beau petit café au vieux-port! Belle ambiance & la décoration était très mignonne! Le thé & la crêpe crème brûlée étaient délicieux. Les prix sont dans le côté plus dispendieux
The breakfast was okay, just pricey for small portions compared to all other breakfast places. Worth comming for the Milk Teas, Lattes & the crème brulée crêpe. Those were delicious & really well made.
First time I feel like writing a workplace review, but Muru has been wonderful! The work atmosphere is very friendly, the management is fair & empathetic, & I look forward to eating my lunch there everyday!
The atmosphere & service were great! The crepes are very filling & tasted good, but the texture can be better. The rose latte was good but there was no rose flavour at all.
Cute, bright cafe with delicious food & friendly service. I enjoyed my crepe encasing an egg, grilled veggies, mozzarella & bacon, served with potatoes & fruit. My son’s omelette was also excellent. Recommended!
