Jai rien a dire. Le genre de fried chicken qui te laisse un palais satisfait. Best fried chicken in town
Much bigger than I thought it was with the extra counter for bagels & sandwiches. Lots of great choices, decent prices. Cost about 40$ for 2 people & you get generous portions. Super nice & quick customer service. The jerk chicken was amazing, literally falling off the bone, the rice & peas with the sauce on top perfectly seasoned & the salad & mac & cheese flavorful. My only critique was that the beef patty was a tad bit dry but maybe we got ones that had been there a bit longer. Happens.
Highly recommend 👌
I've been wanting to try this place for over a year now & what a disappointment.
I'll probably give it a 5/10.
We drove over 50 mins for this, & i dont think ill be back.
Oxtail was okay, a very small portion.
Rice was okay, big portion given.
Macaroni was so dry...12$ for this.
Beef patty with jerk was not good at all, im not sure if it was the patty or the jerk. But what a disappointment.
The drinks were good tho
We paid 85$ for all this, & price wise the portions were not it.
I wouldn't recommend to go here, there's so many other places in mtl for carribean food that are for a fair price & quantity.
I don't say this lightly, but this was hands down the best beef burger I've ever had.
The beef patty was cooked to absolute perfection-juicy, flavorful, & seasoned just right. You could tell they weren't cutting corners; this was high-quality beef, seared beautifully on the outside & still tender inside with a Caribbean flare.
If you're a burger lover, do yourself a favor & try this one. You'll think about it long after the bite.
Placed an order for a pot of pumpkin vegetable soup for a funeral reception. The order was ready on time & the guests really enjoyed the soup as did I. Thank you to the owner & cooks.
I've been here a few times to try different items from their menu. First time, the wait took about 20 mins to receive my order but the woman was very friendly so it wasn't a problem. Roti skin was decent but the curry wasn't the best & lacked some seasonings. Also, wayyy too much potato & barely any meat. Doesn't allow you to get the full potential of the meat itself. The size of the roti is about half the size that you get at other Caribbean restos for about the same price. It's like a mini roti lol. Second time, I placed my order beforehand & picked it up. Upon arriving, the owner was busy chatting so i waited. He saw me when i walked in but continued chatting. I stood at the counter & waited almost 15 mins before getting acknowledged. During the wait time, I was looking for another employee to just hand me my order that was paid for, ready & sitting there but they were busy filling stock. The owner only acknowledged me because I turned to leave. At that point, I have to admit that I didn't appreciate his attitude or dirty look but was happy to get my order & get out of there! All in all, service is a hit or miss, 50/50 chance of getting good service & the rotis are mostly filled with potato & little meat. Would give the roti a solid 6/10. Would buy again if I was really craving it but otherwise, there are better rotis at other, more authentic Caribbean restaurants. Overhyped on social media & lack of taste isn't not worth the hype or price.
Read some of the reviews & hope the response isn't that I have bad taste buds 😂😭 hope you guys step your kitchen game up & fix your service issue because I'd definitely give it another try. Otherwise, not too sure…
Absolutely thrilled once again! This was our second time catering from this restaurant, & just like the first, everything was exceptional. We had a party of about 15-20 people, & every single guest had something great to say about the food-it was hot, flavorful, & clearly made with care.
We really appreciated how accommodating the team was with our requests. The timing was spot-on, & the service was so friendly & positive-it truly added to the overall experience. It's rare to find this level of consistency & hospitality.
Highly recommend for any gathering-can't wait for the next one!
First time coming here, & it wont be the last. Having been to many Caribbean restaurants in the city, & being from a Caribbean background, I can wholeheartedly say, their food, & their service are first class.
The curry goat was tender, fall off the bone & full of flavour. So was the oxtail stew.
Amazingly, i'd never had their bagels, being a montreal native. So we were offered 2 to try, which was a great surprise. Do yourself a favour, & go check them out.
