Great poutine in a great establishment. The gravy is super flavourful & the fries are crispy & delicious. This restaurant has a bunch of history & proudly displays it on the walls, it's not everyday you get poutine from a 100 year old restaurant. Overall, a great poutine for anyone searching for an authentic poutine.

Amazing place for your first'steamies' experience. This place has been a staple of downtown Montréal since 1912 & has a lot of history. Would recommend, they were delicious!!'Loaded' is the only way to go!!

Exiting Places Des Arts, the La Belle Province on St Catherine is quicker found & has similar food. So the crowds tend to go there, including myself for some time. I'm glad I altered the routine to check out Montreal Pool Room though because this place is a fast food gem. Great place for a taste of traditional Montreal greasy grub. Open late for convenience after a night of partying downtown. Although it is cash only on the inconvenient side. Service is wonderful as well. The walls are adorned with some neat maps & posters going back many years. You can actually learn a neat bit about local history from the hangings on the wall. Happy to support this historic Montreal business.

Montreal Pool Room: A Legendary Experience My visit to the Pool Room was an unforgettable one. The poutine was the best I've ever had, the fries were perfectly crispy, the gravy was like nothing I've tasted before - authentic & delicious. Their all-dressed steamy hotdogs were like a hug from within, with perfectly buttered buns & fresh garnishes. Family ran & operated, The restaurant's history is impressive - it's been around for over a hundred years! I can't wait to go back for more poutine🍁
