Great experience eating at plaza for the first time. Each dish was unlike what I had ever tasted before… I would without a doubt reorder the whelk, razor clams & tartare. The beets & cheese was not my favorite, that's just personal taste though. the desserts were amazing. We would come back just to have a tasting menu of desserts honestly. Decor is fun, restaurant got loud at times but that's the atmosphere. Loved it!
Nous y étions il y a quelques semaines pour y souligner notre premier anniversaire de relation mon copain & moi. Nous avions une réservation à 20h45. Nous avons eu notre table passé 22h. Environ 1h30 d'attente!? J'ai rarement attendu aussi longtemps & le peu de fois où c'est arrivé, c'est qu'on n'avait pas de réservation. C'est un peu le principe de ce service, ne pas avoir à attendre. On nous a offert un drink. C'est gentil. Mais si je peux me payer le MTL Plaza, c'est que je peux payer pour mes consommations. & au moins à 2 reprises, on a eu l'impression que des couples qui sont arrivés après nous ont été assis avant nous. Favoritisme pour habitués? Bref, ça a teinté un peu négativement notre soirée. Il y a des problèmes plus importants dans la vie, en effet. Mais il reste que c'était une première pour moi. & il y a assez de bons restaurants à Montréal, avec une qualité de bouffe égale sinon supérieure, pour que j'évite cet endroit à l'avenir.
Bon repas & bonne cuisine mais avons pris le 5 services avec mais ça ne vaut pas la peine. Très cher (500$ pour 2) & quantitè de vin ridicule...á ce prix tu t'attends á plus. Beaaucoup plus
Bonne cuisine. Bon service. Nous avons pris le 5 services avec accords vin & malheureusement la portion « vin » n'est pas généreuse…portion ridiculement petites. À 500$ pour un souper pour 2 personnes, on s'attend à un peu plus de générosité. Décevant.
Menu dégustation créatif qui met en valeur un habile mariage de textures, saveurs, couleurs, originalité, dans le respect des produits frais! C'était savoureux!! Mention spécial à l'oeuf/mouillette, au doré & au canard! Petite touche ludique avec le T-Rex enfoncé tête première dans notre plateau d'huître fraîches.
Le service était sympathique, convivial & attentionné. Excellentes recommandations de vin au verre pour accompagner le menu dégustation!
L'ambiance était festive, nous y étions pour célébrer un anniversaire entres amis. C'était parfait! Il y avait plusieurs anniversaires célébrés au courant de la soirée & soulignés à chaque fois par le personnel, le cochon lumineux & la musique pop! Si vous cherchez une ambiance romantique discrète en tête à tête, c'est pas tout à fait le bon endroit! Mais agréable pour les esprits ouverts qui veulent célébrer dans une ambiance festive! J'y retournerais sans hésiter.
Have been to Montreal Plaza before & it was 5/5. I always enjoy the variety of dishes & creativity in the sharing menu but some of the food was a bit salty this time. Many dishes featured soy sauce & it was just too salty. Will still be coming back but just know that the quality may be a little inconsistent.

Ça faisait tellement longtemps que je voulais essayer Mtl Plaza & sans surprise - mon copain & moi avons adoré!
Nous avons passé une soirée parfaite, comme on les aime. Les plats étaient délicieux, le service plus que parfait (merci Jade 🫶🏼) & les cocktails… wow. J'ai été particulièrement impressionnée par leur variété : on sort complètement des classiques & j'ai eu droit à un cocktail sur mesure qui s'accordait parfaitement avec mon repas.
& que dire de l'ambiance, énergique sans être trop bruyante & de la déco, absolument incroyable! On est même repartis avec deux toutous ahah!
C'est certain qu'on y retournera très prochainement 🦕🔥

Une des meilleures tables en ville ! J'en suis à ma 5e fois chez Montréal Plaza & l'excellence s'exprime autant par la cuisine mais encore plus par le service exceptionnel.
Je viens d'assister à l'événement de Charcuterie & c'était formidable la bouffe & le bon vin servi de façon incroyable …. Merci beaucoup Montréal Plaza
Food was good but not wow. Strawberries felt overpowering the foie gras. Almost impossible to apply the foie gras on the provided bread because the bread was too soft / foie gras was too solid.
Tartare was special with the mix of popcorn , for me it worked fine but nothing wow. The freshness of the tuna helped making the dish better.
Took the braised beef as finale. There was again some strawberries... would have traded those strawberries for some more veggies.
Service was good on the plating / cleaning. Very fast pace team when it comes to cleaning & replacing your ustensils.
A bit snobbed on the greeting & good bye side by the waiter. A big red flag when the waiter or waitress tells you : Oh , you guys didn't order a lot for two people, you have to order more. You can see it in their eyes & looks that the service reflects on the amount you order to eat & drink. I have worked in the restauration for many years so I know what's an excellent service . I have never questionned the quantity of the clients because its THEIR choice. If they are still hungry, they will either ask you the menu or eat elsewhere.
The credit card machine also had 18% , 20% , 25% tips choices on default which leads me to think the waiters doesnt work hard for their tips anymore.

Would have been a 4-5 without the wine pairing
We took a glass before taking the menu with wine pairing. On first service, the waiter brings us the exact same bottle for the pairing - which is already weird that no alternative was offered
Then the following wines were not presented (the waiter had no clue about them, telling stuff like'its a vinho verde but not an usual one') & they were very cheap on the amount served: barely two sips you could see the waiter was carefully measuring... I know wine pairing are not full glasses but I never saw something that cheap
For 75$+tx & tips for each wine pairing, I feel this kind of ruined the fsncy experience that they acted that cheap
Conclusion: get their menu & a glass or a bottle. NO tasting
The atmosphere is nice & some of the dishes are quite unique. However, I have been served undercooked/raw duck for the yakitori, making the experience less enjoyable. So be mindful if ordering this item. The IPA however is one of the best I have ever tasted.
We opted for the tasting menu, & it was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, & genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. The restaurant's design is playful & quirky, perfectly matching the creativity of the food pairings. The only minor downside is that the space can get quite loud, but overall it was a fantastic dining experience.
