Superbe moment! Nous avions pris le menu dégustation & notre réservation était pour célébrer un anniversaire. Les plats étaient succulents & variés, avec une grande attention portée à la présentation. Le service était impeccable, sans stress & juste à point. Le restaurant est magnifique, bien pensé & intemporel.
The service here is amazing. Waiters are as attentive & courteous as any restaurant. The food, on the other hand, is unfortunately not good. Tuna was very fish. Shrimp dish was actually bizarrely prepared. Cod was ok. I wanted to love this place. Unfortunately I cannot recommend going here. Far better options around
We had a pleasant experience at Montreal Plaza, but the food was just okay & didn't quite live up to our expectations. The presentation was nice & the service was good, but overall, the flavours were not as memorable as we had hoped. It's a nice place to visit, though we expected a little more from the food.
Décoration amusante & noble à la fois, les plats y sont superbement présentés & surtout, absolument délicieux ! Jade, au bar, fut parfaite pour nous conseillers des excellents cocktails de ses créations, mais aussi des accords de vins pertinents & délectables. Le menu dégustation est une bonne base pour explorer la créativité talentueuse du chef & sa cuisine. À faire & refaire, merci & bravo à toute l'équipe !
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire team for making our birthday celebration so memrable. Food was spactacular. From all the top restorants I have ever went to this one was the freshest & tastiest. So many new flavours & combinations. Like a symphony in your mouth. Service was also superb. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. It does get very busy. I do recomend making a resarvation espesially in weekends

We chose Montreal Plaza to celebrate our son's graduation, & it was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. It was such a special evening for our family, & the team made it even more memorable.
We ordered the'Everything' tasting menu, & every single dish was a surprise-creative, beautifully presented, & absolutely delicious. You can truly feel the passion & talent behind each plate.
What impressed us just as much was the service. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, & genuinely cared about making our celebration special. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.
Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories on such an important day for our family. We will definitely be back & will happily recommend Montreal Plaza to our friends & family.
C'est joliment présenté, bon, sans plus. Extrêmement bruyant, une pensée pour les brasseries parisiennes. Très bon service, mis à part un :'Allo, tu vas bien?', alors que nous terminons notre repas. Portions bien plus généreuses que dans mon souvenir. Girolles, trop salés, desserts trop sucrés mais beau & bons quand même. Nous reviendrons éventuellement, pour le foie gras & les desserts que je n'ai pas photographiés.
Mon expérience au Montréal Plaza a été décevante, principalement en raison d'une politique du restaurant que je trouve difficile à comprendre.
Nous étions un groupe de 7 personnes & un menu fixe nous a été imposé, sans possibilité de commander à la carte. C'est ce qui explique l'essentiel de ma déception.
En y repensant, cette formule m'a fait penser à un abonnement au TNM. On s'abonne à une saison sans choisir les pièces : il y en a une qu'on adore, deux qu'on apprécie... & deux qui nous laissent complètement indifférents. C'est exactement ce que j'ai ressenti avec ce menu imposé. Sans pouvoir choisir, on prend le risque de passer à côté de ce qui nous aurait réellement plu.
Le plus frustrant n'est donc pas ce que j'ai mangé, mais ce que je n'ai pas pu choisir. Le menu imposé comprenait en plat principal un onglet de boeuf sauce au poivre. Ce n'est tout simplement pas un plat que j'aurais commandé. Si j'ai envie d'un steak, je vais chez Joe Beef ou chez Gibby's. En allant au Montréal Plaza, je souhaitais plutôt découvrir les créations du chef en choisissant moi-même les plats qui m'inspiraient.
Les plats étaient correctement exécutés, mais ils m'ont laissé largement indifférent. Aucun ne m'a réellement surpris ou émerveillé. Pour un restaurant de cette réputation, c'est probablement ce qui m'a le plus déçu.
Portant la facture s'élevait à 433 $ pour deux, taxes & pourboire inclus. Je comprends parfaitement qu'un menu imposé puisse être nécessaire pour un groupe de 15 ou 20 personnes. En revanche, pour seulement 7 convives, j'ai beaucoup de difficulté à comprendre cette politique. J'ai sincèrement l'impression que si nous avions pu commander à la carte, mon appréciation du restaurant aurait été tout autre.
