I ordered the crispy bbq bowl & the rice was not fresh. Many pieces of rice were rock hard & the quantity of chicken in the bowl felt insufficiant compared to other franchises. Overall tasted good though

If I can put zero stars I would. Actually ridiculous. I ordered online for the buy one get one free with some other add ons. I did NOT receive my orders literally one bowl nothing else's even the'buy one get one free' OR MY EXTRAS. I tried calling the store no answer what a joke

I usually go to a different Monteiro restaurant, but since this one was close to me I decided to try it & it was very disappointing. I got Bol Piri Express.
The portion was extremely low than what I usually get, & they did not put any toppings. There was barely any sauce which made the whole bowl just stale & dry.
Surprisingly the chicken was cold & smelled so terrible, like it was made in the washroom. Waste of 25$
It's a shame because looking at the reviews it seemed like the place would be as good as the others, but upon entering it was empty (which makes sense now) & even the worker had an attitude.

Overall a very dissappointing experience, definitely to avoid.

Ordered through Uber Eats, food content looks incredibly suspcious, feels like it has been tampered with (a large chunk in the bowl is missing), the volume is also lacking, missing the drink from the order. Did not eat due to possible food safety issues. Will not order from this location again.

I ordered the buy 1 get 1 for free Tex mix bowl from Uber for pickup. I only got one bowl be careful guys it's a new scam trick. I took the food but I couldn't eat a second bite. The chicken was under cooked & it had a stinky smell. I returned the food after 5 min's & he refused to pay me back, even Uber did not give me the refund! Very bad customer service especially from the owner! So basically I paid $23 for nothing.

Amazing high quality food for only 10$!! It also comes with amazing customer service. When I get the bowl, I always ask for half rice & half salad, & even though it's not on their menu they always say yes with a big smile. This just shows how friendly the staff are. Highly recommended

I got the spicy piri bowl. The portion was very reasonable considering the price, the spice level was nice but I found it way too salty. I was also expecting the chicken to be sizzling hot as the cook just took it off the grill but it was only room temperature. The service was also a bit slow despite not having that many customers in line. It was a bit painful to see the staff move so slowly, cooking only a couple pieces of chicken at a time despite the grill being huge. The staff might just be new as they got someone else's order wrong twice. I wouldn't go out of my way to come eat here again but perhaps if I wanted a cheap bite in the area I'd consider it & try the other foods on the menu.

I tried both the rice bowl & the poutine bowl, & while both were good, the poutine was definitely my favorite. The flavors were much better compared to the rice bowl. As for the drinks, I wouldn't recommend the pineapple one-it tasted too much like cough syrup. The orange was okay, but not great. The atmosphere was nice & chill, though it can get crowded at times. Overall, the service was good, & I got my food in under 7 minutes. Parking was on a different rd where the parking was free. It was halal yes.

I used to be a frequent visitor to this place. But now I am not sure about coming here again. I regularly buy bowl peri here. Now they have reduced the quantity of food they provide & the quality is not great anymore.
