I live close by & was really hoping that this place would crush it. But, unfortunately, when we went on recent Tuesday night, a couple of days before Christmas, the food just wasn't very good.
I've had better food there before, so to say the least, there's definitely a consistency problem.
I had the chicken biryani which was ok at best. But my partner's food was very disappointing. She had the vegetarian combo (thali) with daal & alo gobi (cauliflower & potatoes) curries. They were both pretty bad, & probably not fresh & barely warm. Even the naan that came with the thali was not very hot. Usually when you get fresh naan, it's too hot to touch, but not this naan. Everything arrived very fast which didn't make sense.
The food looked very sad. A huge thali plate that looked mostly empty.
Maybe their main chef wasn't there on a Sunday night, but that's really not an excuse to serve bad food.
I'm being very generous giving 3 stars for the food. Will definitely not go back anytime soon.

J'ai été déçue de mon expérience. L'ambiance était un peu étrange avec de la musique jazz dans un resto indien. Nous avons pris un combo, qui venait avec plusieurs éléments servis ensemble dans un grand plateau à compartiments, un peu comme à l'école, ce qui m'a surprise. J'avoue que si j'avais pris un autre plat (pas le combo) peut-être mon avis aurait été différent donc, c'est à prendre en considération. Mais bref, le goût des plats était très ordinaire & le naan particulièrement décevant :( Mon amie a même trouvé un cheveu dans son assiette. Bref, si il n'y avait pas eu de cheveu j'aurais donné 3/5, mais maintenant je donne 2 étoiles & j'irais ailleurs la prochaine fois!!
The food is good & their service is extremely fast. I feel like the food still lacks a bit of flavour. I have ordered butter paneer several times & it has lot of onions & garlic flavour which overpowers the curry. Other than that, the food is pretty good. Their cheese naan is a must try.

Such a delightful find on Mont-Royal! My favourite is a delicious array of tasty Indian side dishes all on one platter (the combos). I've had excellent service every time with exquisite curry in a comfortable & relaxing atmosphere. The price is unbeatable & the portion is very generous, & includes fresh naan. The spices are adjusted to preference as well. Highly recommended!
Si nous avons initialement été quand même ravis du goût du poulet au beurre malgré qu'il était bien trop gras, nous sommes tous tombés malade le lendemain… Pain naan ordinaire.
If you're looking for amazing Indian food, this place is a must-visit! The naan is hands down the best I've ever had, perfectly soft & flavorful. Their butter chicken is equally delicious, rich & creamy with just the right balance of spices. The restaurant itself is a lovely, quiet, & cozy spot, making it the perfect place for a relaxing meal. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!
The aroma in the air hits you even before you enter the restaurant, gets your mouth watering by the get go. Ordered Chicken Magistick as an appetizer, which was yummy with its tasty sauce. & for mains had the Chicken Madras with Naan & Garlic rice. The flavors hit the right spots & makes you crave for more. To wrap it up with something sweet, a glass of Mango Lassi does the trick. Overall great food, service & ambience. Cheers to the team. Tout d'abord d'un point de vue culinaire, nos atteintes ont été largement atteintes. Je vous conseille le combo avec les Naans, pour un prix plus qu'abordable (14,5$ CAD!!). Service au top, nourriture servie très rapidement (Dimanche soir). PS: Si vous etes en voiture, ne vous garez pas dans la rue de Bordeaux, vous risquez de vous prendre une contravention.
Vraiment excellent, nourriture savoureuse. Nous avons pris l'agneau Madras, un poulet au beurre, du boeuf mughlai, du baingan Bartha Végé, un daal au curry ainsi que du riz & des naans. Tout était bon!! Seule bémol, j'aurais apprécié un peu plus de viande dans les plats qui en avaient mais sommes tout , on était 4 & il restait de la nourriture après le repas. Je recommande amplement!!!
Ordered shahi paneer, chicken tikka masala & garlic naan. Food was really delicious & authentic indian flavors. I opted for spicy levels to be'HOT' & it was really good. Naans were also soft & warm. Must visit again.
Malheureusement le serveur s'est trompé de commande & n'ayant pas assez de connaissances en cuisine indienne je n'ai pas osé le questionner dessus Au-delà de ce problème c'est vraiment une superbe place & je compte y retourner pour avoir un deuxième avis Les naans sont bon, la portion de riz copieuse & pas chère Les entrées absolument divine Belle ambiance!
Hier, nous sommes venues entre amies & avons commandé du Veggie Pakora, du poulet tikka masala, du poulet au beurre, du riz, ainsi que des naans nature & au fromage. Nous avons adoré notre expérience. La nourriture est savoureuse, de grande qualité, & les ingrédients sont frais. Le lieu est calme, très propre, & magnifiquement décoré. Le service était exceptionnel, & à la fin, ils nous ont offert du jus de mangue en cadeau! Nous reviendrons à coup sûr.
The food was awesome. We tried Chicken kebab for the starter, & the wait time was more than 30 minutes. The kebab was just okay, not so thrilling. Then, for the main course, we ordered Chicken Vindaloo, garlic naan, & chicken biryani. I loved the Chicken Vindaloo & will definitely recommend it. The Chicken Biryani was also amazing. I had also tried Mango Lassi, & it was good. Overall, a quite good experience. & lastly, the hero of the show, Gulab jamun-I loved it.
This is my favorite place for comfort food. Service is always great, the folks are friendly, & the quality of the flavors are always on point. this is one of my "safe food" locations, ND folks know what I mean. My favorite thing to get is the butter chicken with medium spice, & my spouse usually gets palak paneer & garlic naan. We're always pleased with what we order. We usually do pick-up but the restaurant is also a really cozy spot with ample room between the tables. The smell inside is fantastic & the lighting is soft & warm. It's just a nice comforting place with comforting food & kind staff with reliable consistency that makes a big difference in an unpredictable life.
Le personnel ne parle pas français & ne fait aucun effort pour le faire. Aucun service pour le vin, il faut même ouvrir la bouteille soi-même. Manger dans un cabaret plutôt que dans une assiette m'a plutôt déplu. Le pain naan est plutôt un pain pita. Prix raisonnable. Vais-je y retourner? La réponse est non.
