Review Summary

Overall impressions of the reviews point to Monsieur Shish Taouk as a place with great value, generous portions, fresh pita sandwiches and plates, and friendly service, with the chicken shish taouk and shawarma repeatedly praised and the garlic sauce highlighted; many note that prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality, that the staff are kind, and that the dining room feels cozy and unpretentious even if it is not the flashiest spot; some comments mention a casual setup or an occasional dip in freshness later in the day, but the consistency of flavors, the quality of the meat and the garlic sauce, and the reliable execution keep earning glowing recommendations, including first time visitors who become regulars after discovering this hidden gem near the subway.

I got the chicken gyro for $10 (including tax & a small tip.)

Good value
Super friendly, I asked for a little extra garlic sauce & they were kind enough to get me some.

I will try the beef next time, it was so popular that there was barely any left on the rotisserie today.

Such a pleasant surprise! The unassuming ambience is nothing impressive but the quality & quantity of the food really surpasses expectations. The store is not fancy but clean & well organized.

Gyros are so soft & the pickled peppers are such a nice acidic addition to the dish, but I can't believe that my favorite is the rice.

Hear me out. I'm Asian, & my grandparents used to grow organic premium rice. I am really picky when it comes to rice. But this rice is rich in flavor & just the right amount of savory. I even skip on rice in restaurants in Korea because I'm that stuck-up about rice! & here, I couldn't get enough of it!

I am sure everything else is great too, but I'm sticking to the Gyro platter. 100% would visit again.
