I stumbled upon this place with a friend while in Mile End & ended up having the best night! The owner, Rocco, was such fun to chat with, & we even sang some songs together! The other patrons became quick friends as well, & though I only visit a couple of times a year, I know that I'll always feel at home with Rocco & friends. (& maybe meet at my favorite breakfast place again 😁) Thanks for a great place to meet & make friends away from home... Can't wait to return!

They have 6-8 screens downstairs but apparently only have one remote control so they wouldn't show the Scotland game, only Morocco. Place was not even busy.

That's either awful customer service or a crap TV setup!

Absolutely terrible experience at Monsieur Ricard. Two people in our party ordered ciders immediately after sitting down while the rest of us were still settling in & getting ready to order food & drinks to watch the game. Before we even had a chance, the manager came over & rudely said,'You all have to order something, I'm running a bar here.'

The entire interaction was incredibly disrespectful & completely killed the atmosphere. We fully intended on ordering, but after that comment we felt rushed & uncomfortable. The manager then continuously pressured the waitresses to come ask for our orders every 30 seconds, which made the experience even worse.

I've worked in the service industry for years, & I've honestly never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant/bar. The waitresses themselves were wonderful & clearly doing their best despite the situation.

To make matters worse, there were used contact lenses left on the table when we sat down. The waitresses cleaned it right away, but maybe the manager should focus more on cleanliness & customer service instead of aggressively policing guests the second they sit down.

We ended up quickly finishing our drinks & leaving. Definitely would not return.

Monsieur Ricard is the kind of place that quietly gets everything right. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, intimate, & effortlessly cool-no gimmicks, no trying too hard. It's stylish without being pretentious, & comfortable enough that you immediately feel like settling in for a while.

The service hits that perfect balance. The staff is attentive & sharp, but never intrusive. You're taken care of without feeling watched, & there's zero pressure to rush through your night. No awkward bill drop or subtle hints to free up the table-just a relaxed pace that lets you actually enjoy the moment.

Prices are another strong point. For the quality of the experience, everything feels fair, which makes it easy to order another round without hesitation. It's refreshing to find a spot where value & atmosphere actually align.

Overall, it's a bar that knows exactly what it's doing: great vibe, great price, & a genuinely comfortable experience from start to finish.

Fan de l'Olympique de Marseille & en vacances sur Montréal. J'ai passé un super moment devant l'olympico ( victoire de l'OM au passage) avec des fans venant de France & du Canada. Serveuse agréable & souriante. Je recommande !
