Je suis descendu du Saguenay pour venir essayer le restaurant une des pire expérience culinaire que jais vécu il fait chaud dans le restaurant sont pas capable de te servir un verre deau avec de la glace leau étais chaude le service était moyen jais aimer l'entrée de tataki de wagyu cest la seul chose que jais bien aimer les drink était pas super cest vraiment juste une place tape a l'oeil trop dispendieux pour la qualité du service & du repas
Such a cool & unique concept! You really feel like you've been transported into an underground cave,it honestly felt like being at a resort. The drinks were really creative & unlike anything you'd typically order. We went around 11:30 p.m., so it was definitely on the louder side with a live DJ, but it made for a really fun atmosphere. It's not the best spot if you're looking to sit & chat, but the overall vibe & experience are definitely worth it. I'd come back for sure & would love to try the food next time!
Quite frankly, I was disappointed with my experience at Mona Loa. The atmosphere & drinks were great, but the service was very poor. We arrived on time for our 9pm reservation for a table but were seated at the bar instead, which made it difficult for a group of four to talk. After following up, we waited another 20 minutes before being moved to our table.
The hostess moved our drinks while we were still paying at the bar, leaving them unattended, which made us uncomfortable. Once seated, no one came by to see if we wanted to order anything else. The overall experience felt disorganized, & unfortunately, we left feeling that we would not return. & for a group of 21-year-old girls to say that, you know the service was bad.
Nishant was amazing!!! Was visiting from Toronto - superb atmosphere, dj & drinks!! Made us feel super welcome & took incredible care of our group. Truly a staple for MTL❤?
Drinks are only ok, the atmosphere is cool with the cave decor although it was not as covert speak easy style as others I've been to, not very cozy either. It seems more like a place for instagram influencers to go to take pictures of their new botox lips. At least it was interesting to watch the people this place attracts…We only got drinks so I can't speak to food, the server refilled our water often which was nice & she was smiling & pleasant.
Belle ambiance!! Le staff incroyable. Les drinks sont trop bon surtout le pornstar martini. Le Tiger roll je recommande il est vraiment bon. Je vais certainement revenir! Merci à la serveuse charly :)
We came across this spot on Instagram & we reached out for a corporate team event. The organization was easy, the menu was adjustable & accommodating to dietary restrictions (eg - halal / vegetarian). Our team had a fantastic experience at Mona Loa! The food & drinks were excellent, the team was fantastic, & the ambiance was incredibly unique! We'll definitely remember this dinner! 😊
Laatst hier met z'n 2'en gegeten. We hadden gehoord dat we naar een'speak easy' moesten, en dat dit een aanrader was. De cocktails (wat hier het main drinken is: er is maar 1 soort bier bijvoorbeeld, en er staan geen andere drankjes op de kaart dan cocktails) zijn minstens 10 dollar duurder dan andere plekken. Vervolgens smaken ze minder; niet vies, maar ook niet per se heel lekker. Dan het eten: wederom overpriced, met echt kleine porties. Niet veel smaak, maar wel duur. Na het etentje nog ergens anders lekker wat gegeten, deze keer voor een prikkie. Kortom: het is prima, maar veelste duur. Doen alsof ze chique zijn, maar is niet op kwaliteit.
I don't do seafood or any variety of it - so I ordered fried tofu (tofu no hana) 🥴 I didn't know what to expect but it was NOT it & my stomach isn't feeling it either
I also ordered a vegetarian sushi roll - never came. They accidentally gave it to another table & then refused to make it for me again bc it was'too late' meanwhile it was 11:20 PM & last call for food was 11:30 sooo??
ALSO not my fault yall gave it to someone else & it took the bartender 25+ minutes to realize I never got it. 😒
Très cher. Nous étions souvent interpellés par la serveuse pour nous commandions. Mais lorsqu'il était le temps de payer, personne en vu. Les drinks étaient bon, mais cher. La nourriture hors de prix. Lors du paiement, le pourboire a été ajouté automatiquement à 20% (ce qui n'était pas mon option).
