Located in Montreal's Chinatown, Mon Nan Village a discrete restaurant that's easy to miss unless you know where to look. The restaurant offers some of the best pan-fried dumplings, Peking duck and General Tao chicken in town. The dumplings are just a small part of an extensive Dim Sum selection that can be ordered from the daytime menu. I highly recommend Restaurant Mon Nan to anyone who enjoys delicious Asian food at a reasonable price! They did not hesitate to accommodate a last-minute reservation request for our group of 19, & made sure we were all well taken care of. The restaurant's dining area features larger round tables with a central lazy-Susan to facilitate conversation & meal-sharing. Very unpleasant attitude from the servers. Walked in & tried to catch their attention & was ignored for a while before they finally responded. Server kept slamming things on the table. Also, was forced to tip. Not sure if this is the norm in Montreal as it is my first night here. Food was nice, but it was not a pleasant dining experience.View more

Great place for some fresh, delicious, authentic food! Big plates & great suggestions from the waitress. If you want an authentic option in Chinatown, but not too overwhelming - this is the place for you! The dumplings are made fresh, on site by their chef. Must try!
