Local artisan bakery where everything is handmade in Pointe-Saint-Charles, by our artisans. We use only the finest seasonal products. Breads, pastries, juicy coffees, gourmet grilled cheese, and many other local products. Some love in Saint-Henri!
Mollo Boulangerie - Café is noted for excellent bread and viennoiseries, with a crusty sourdough, airy baguette, and Parisian loaf, plus standout pastries like almond croissant and Nutella croissant and a few vegan options alongside reliable coffee and matcha drinks. The atmosphere is generally cozy with good vibes, though seating is limited and sometimes uncomfortable, and service quality varies with some reviews praising friendly staff while others describe tense or indifferent service. Prices can feel high for certain items such as grilled cheese, but many keep returning for bread and morning pastries. A charitable note appears that leftover bread is given to the homeless at the end of the day. Overall, it offers a strong bakery and cafe experience with delicious staples and a few drawbacks around seating and service.
We tried several items:
• Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (Portobello, Gouda, Parmesan & Pesto de Kale / Grilled Chicken, Onion & Aged Cheddar)
• Cheese Croissant
• Cinnamon Roll
• Matcha Latte
The croissants were impressively large! The grilled cheese sandwiches were delicious, though one might not be enough to fully satisfy a big appetite. Personally, I preferred the Portobello one over the Grilled Chicken.
Unfortunately, they were out of decaf coffee & hot chocolate during our visit. I was really looking forward to pairing my bread with a decaf latte or a hot chocolate, so that was a bit disappointing.
The staff were very kind & provided great service. While the seating isn't the most comfortable for a long stay, it's perfectly fine for a quick & tasty bite.

Great place to pick up bread on the way back from St-Henri Metro before dinner (catch them before 6 pm!) Their baguette & Parisian is good, with lots of air holes, not sticky like many'French' breads. I tried the almond croissant for fun: too large for me (so seeming a bit overpriced) but really sweet : ) I can't really speak for atmosphere (never sat for coffee) but staff seems friendly); however, anecdotally, rather then throw away bread at the end of the day, they give it to the homeless, a proper gesture.
After walking for a while we found this lovely pastry/cafe & we stopped by for a croissant & chocolatin & it was as good as it looks. Coffee was on point but the star of the show was the nutella croissant. The only downside is there isn't a lot of seating space.
This is my go-to coffee place & I love it! The employees are always so sweet & welcoming, & their bread is to die for! However, I wish they brought back their old matcha powder... the new one is just not the same.
I wasn't a'bakery person' until I found Mollo. Now I'm hooked. It's totally worth checking out. Everything is sourdough! I try to get my bread there every week. Also treat yourself to a chocolate chip cookie! They are literally the best. Coffee is amazing. Don't bother with the brownies though...quite hard & dry. Will give you bad impression of this place. Focus on the good stuff.
Very good bread. But 25% more expensive than Premier Moisson, & it also closes before I can get home from work, every day. It's convenient for people without jobs, I guess.
The croissant is perfect, just perfect. The espresso is not. The machine they use is well maintained, but their coffee bean is too sour for espresso.
For reallyyy good premium coffee & hot drinks, this is the place.
The ambiance & space is neat, casual & elegantly subtle. The staff is very friendly.
The coffee & hot chocolate are rly good!
The pastries as well especially the nutella croissant! It was soooo good & not at all too sweet as one might expect!
Also, to my surprise, the bread & sourdough they sell is top quality!!! No doubt one of the best sourdoughs in Montreal 😍
Small inconvenience: limited seated areas. So it rly depends on the time you arrive, sometimes you might nt find a place to sit but it usually resolves quickly as the pace people come & go is quick & fast

This coffee shop is a fantastic find, featuring a great atmosphere & friendly staff. I tried their coffee alongside a Nutella croissant, & I was pleasantly surprised by the croissant's balance-it's not overly sweet, which is a nice change. Overall, it's a lovely spot to relax & enjoy a delicious treat.
Highly recommend! Popped in to get a latte & was pleasantly surprised. Coffee was lovely, citron cake was delicious & not too sweet. Then I decided to buy one of their sour dough bread which is one of the best I have had in a long while. Had tree slices with butter as soon as I got home😊 well, it's raining! To top it off, staff is friendly & efficient giving that place a welcoming ambiance!
Mollo is wonderful but the service is so uneven it often ruins the experience. - the staff do not always asks if it's for there or to go. At 7$ a latte, it should be a given considering the taste is altered (or the presentation) or just your overall customer experience when sitting down. - lattes are often uneven. Ask for a flat white & you'll see what I mean. Different milk consistency every time unless done by the old baristas. The new ones are quick to go back on their phone & hide in pack in the back corner. Pouring a good shot involves a bit more than rushing to your phone.. - some of the older staff members are wonderful & are what makes this place truly special. You can tell they are baristas, coffee lovers & wonderful managers. Sadly, I see them less & less. When I do, the experience is wonderful. Some of the other staff members make me turn around & go elsewhere. A smile doesn't make up for a poor coffee; if you can't manage the machine, don't. If you don't know you shouldn't mix sweet & salty pastries in the same plate or bag, you should not work in a boulangerie. If you are hungover, don't come in, it'll be better than forgetting the basics... We live around the corner & went from going there 4 times a week to once or twice.. maybe, mostly for a baguette or some Traffic Coffee. We will happily share with management some of the feedback if they are open to it either by email, phone or face to face. Edit: some of the criticisms have been fixed almost instantly. Bumping this review to 5 stars
fantastic coffee & one of the best croissants of my life. super buttery but not heavy. i got the chocolatine & the chocolate was still a bit melty in the not i g when i went around 10am. i got the americano with a bit of macadamia nut milk & it was smooth & not too bitter. great vibe inside & friendly staff. all the bread looked & smelled amazing. will be going back.
