Modavie est un lieu intemporel qui nous rappelle nos racines, où dames & messieurs se réunissent pour manger dans une atmosphère animée causée par de bonnes conversations, de la musique live et les parfums boisés d’une salle vintage. Né en 1997, il est rapidement devenu populaire parmi les locaux et les visiteurs, et est maintenant considéré comme une institution montréalaise.

Good lunch at Modavie, in which I could appreciate the professional staff, the warm decor & some good food. In particular, I enjoyed my salmon dish with various vegetables & I also enjoyed the broccoli soup that they brought us as a complimentary entrée. For a dish each, we paid around 90 CAD (taxes & tip included) which is not the cheapest thing but aligned with the quality & general atmosphere of the place.Voir plus

10/10 brunch experience!!! (June 2022) Very quaint atmosphere, delicious food, affordable prices & outstanding ambiance. Particularly enjoyed the jazz music at brunch which was a delight. I had the eggs benedict with lamb, creme brulee for dessert. My friend had the breakfast poutine. Came for dinner May 2023 - duck confit was delicious & so was the creme brulee. A thousand thank you to Yan for the great service & his patience & of course the whole team behind the scene for making my birthday so easy & accommodating! From the communication through emails days prior the big day to the actual day, everything went smoothly. The food was great, I had the onion soup, the lamb chop (a tad bit too cooked for my taste but we were also a big group of 14 so I understand) with a side of smashed potatoes, the crème brûlée (DELICOUS by the way) & a mocktail mojito (also delicious). L'assiette de charcuterie & de fromage était vraiment excellente : délicieuse, généreuse & savoureuse. Le plat principal de côtelettes d'agneaux, en revanche, a laissé à désirer. Malgré ma demande de cuisson à point, médium/saignant, certaines pièces de viande étaient brûlées & l'assiette dans l'ensemble manquait de richesse; peut-être faudrait-il quelque chose de plus saisissante? En ce qui concerne l'ambiance, je pense qu'une sortie au restaurant vise avant tout à partager des moments avec nos amis & notre famille. Cependant, la musique, bien que de qualité, étouffait par moments nos échanges, rendant la communication ardue même depuis une table plus éloignée de la scène. Ce n'est pas que la musique n'était pas agréable, au contraire, elle était simplement un peu trop forte. La soirée s'est tout de même bien terminée, au côté de notre serveur bien chaleureux.Voir plus

First night ever in Montreal & as luck would have it we stumbled into this great place! George, our server, was awesome! He took great care of us & happily attended to all our needs. He even hand wrote a list of places to see while in Montreal. Hubert, the bartender was also awesome! He also took great care of us! A great conversationalist who made great drinks! He also wrote down some places to go to. The manager, I believe her name was Jane, was great. I cannot recommend this place enough! Oh, & by the way, the food was great!Voir plus
