Moccione is a masterclass in consistency. It is a reliable 8.5/10 every single time.
Every visit here is excellent. The kitchen achieves a level of dependability that is rare in the restaurant industry; you walk in knowing exactly how high the standard will be. The food is precisely executed & deeply flavorful without resorting to over-complicated gimmicks or trying too hard.
The fact that they are open for lunch is a significant advantage. It allows you to experience a high-caliber, dinner-quality meal during the day, completely free from the rigid restrictions of set lunch menus. While the service is simply fine, the sheer quality of the kitchen is what anchors the experience.
Moccione is a remarkably solid, exceptional establishment. I will return without hesitation.

Sat at the bar & said to the bartender: surprise me. & she did. Food was excellent, but the improvisation around my pairings made for an excellent experience. Everyone here works as a team, so much cohesion between the front of house & the kitchen. Pasta was perfect, flavors were on point. I will definitely be back. One minor adjustment: I think the plating looked a bit rushed & could use some precision & finesse before it's flown out…I'd like to see some more technique when it comes to placing the finishing touches. However, this is very minor all things considered.

Amazing meal. Sauce reminded me of my nonna's sauce. Octopus was very good, as was the tripe.

Wonderful find. We actually stumbled onto to it while visiting Montreal. Food was excellent & service & atmosphere were great. Side surprise was getting a $200 food credit from Amex.

Tout est excellent chez Moccione, du service hors paire, la nourriture, jusqu'à l'ambiance. Ça fait du bien d'aller au restaurant & d'en ressortir plus que satisfait ✨ Avec une facture très raisonnable, nous y retournerons sans faute! Solide coup de coeur pour les calmars

On a adoré. Elle a pris les gnocchis (les meilleurs de sa vie). J'ai pris les campanelle au homard (délicieux, dans une sauce à base de bisque).

Quelle belle expérience! Depuis le temps que nous souhaitions y aller, ce fut mémorable de l'entrée au dessert. Dès le début, l'équilibre des saveurs, parfums & textures était merveilleux. Les pétoncles avec une émulsion dont je ne me rappelle plus des détails était d'une fraîcheur très agréable. La fleur de zucchini panées, farcies au fromage, fondait dans la bouche. Pour les pâtes farcies aux poissons, c'était aussi succulent. Elle étaient parfaitement assaisonnées & relevées exactement à mon goût. Enfin, le boeuf & calmars sont venus combler cette succession de savoureux plats. Une viande goûteuse comme je l'aime dans un petit bouillon qui donnait le goût d'y tremper son pain.
Pour terminer, les canoli craquant sous la dent, contenait une cerise remplie de goût nous laissait espérer en trouver une autre. Ça valait déplacement! Merci à Moccione. Service impeccable & efficace. Courtois, ils ont bien adapté le repas à la dernière minute pour des végétariens dans le groupe.

Quelle magnifique expérience culinaire ! Nous avons été enchantés par la qualité de chaque plat, particulièrement par cette pieuvre parfaitement grillée accompagnée de pommes de terre fondantes. Tout était absolument délicieux.

La présentation des assiettes est raffinée & chaque bouchée témoigne d'un réel savoir-faire. Nous avons passé un moment mémorable & nous avons déjà hâte de revenir pour découvrir la suite du menu.

I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant & was looking forward to trying it. There were definitely some positives - a few dishes were very good, & the younger staff members were friendly & welcoming throughout the evening.

Unfortunately, the experience was let down by a couple of issues. The cod pasta was highly recommended to us, & we were even told we were lucky there was still some left. Sadly, it ended up being the biggest disappointment of the meal. I did not enjoy it at all & felt sick throughout the night & into the next morning afterward.

The other issue was with service from an older staff member. At one point, she came to remove a plate that we were still eating. When we politely told her we weren't finished, she gave us a dirty look that felt unnecessary & made the interaction uncomfortable.

I can see why people enjoy this place, as there were some good dishes & the younger staff were great. However, between the cod pasta & the service issue, this visit fell well short of expectations. I'm not sure I would return.
