Its name reminiscent of the desert, Le Mirage is a charming Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Montreal. The warm décor in Oriental colours, and the menu featuring traditional dishes such as fattoush salad, tabbouleh and grilled meats, makes this the perfect place to get together as a group and share a meal. Early risers will be pleased as you can also enjoy their brunches every day of the week from 8am.
Overall, diners describe Mirage Restaurant as a cozy, welcoming spot with a rich Middle Eastern ambiance and an attractive, ornate interior. The food is repeatedly praised for bold flavors, generous portions, and variety, with standout grills and kebabs, Mansaf, kafta, and Lebanese specialties complemented by silky hummus, tangy labneh, fattoush and other mezze; the desserts and Moroccan tea are noted as pleasant finishes. Service is frequently highlighted as professional, attentive, and friendly, contributing to a warm, homey feel, though a few visits report slower lunch service or occasional missteps with timing or bread quality. The atmosphere is described as comfortable and charming, suitable for family dinners, celebrations, or casual meals, with many recalling a memorable, immersive experience and some evenings busier than others, so reservations are advised. Price appears to be a mixed bag depending on the night and dish, with many reviewers calling portions fair or generous for the quality and location, while a few feel the price tag can be high for Montreal and note occasional value concerns. Overall, Mirage Restaurant is seen as a strong option for authentic, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on warm hospitality and a distinctive, elegant setting that makes it easier to return for future gatherings.

I was going to reserve a table. I haven't been able to reach them, the one guy who answered asked me to hold. I stayed on the line 20 minutes. I called back only to them hanging up the phone. He called me back, apologizing, telling me he was alone serving hundreds of people. Of course that means that the manager is incapable of keeping a reasonable amount of staff. It's not the waiters fault. It sucks. But that impacts my impression of the place. Sorry, I hope it gets better. Good luck. I'm sure the food is good.
The food was good. we ordered khashkhash, kafta, fattoush salad, kibbeh, & fresh pita bread. Everything tasted great, but the bread, salad, & kibbeh came after the main dishes, which was a bit disappointing. the restaurant had a lovely & welcoming atmosphere.
We were there to celebrate a special occasion. We went as a group of 15 people & had food restrictions. We were looking for vegetarian food with gluten free options as well. We were highly impressed by the amazing service & the delicious fresh food served by them. The dips were amazing especially the garlic dip. The breads were very fresh & soft. All of us had an amazing time. Big shout out to our server Amine…he took special care of all our requests.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for good Mediterranean food!!
Top.
We finally remembered why we like to go out: impeccable service & attention of our waitress Myriam, the food was so delicious, we are already looking forward to go back. Get the muhammara, it is so tasty. The chef dresses every plate with nice touches of pine nuts, pomegranate, & a variety of sauces. Ending supper with a tasty Moroccan min tea.

Food is average minus. Portions are big but taste is disproportional. Wasn't sure to rate it 3 or 2. Service was utterly bad: one single waitress serving the whole restaurant, with a grim face. Even when 2 others joined, it remained very slow & inaccurate. They also got us the main plate before the appetizers (meza). Regarding the atmosphere, it is indeed middle eastern with Fairouz music
