Its name reminiscent of the desert, Le Mirage is a charming Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Montreal. The warm décor in Oriental colours, and the menu featuring traditional dishes such as fattoush salad, tabbouleh and grilled meats, makes this the perfect place to get together as a group and share a meal. Early risers will be pleased as you can also enjoy their brunches every day of the week from 8am.
Overall, diners describe Mirage Restaurant as a cozy, welcoming spot with a rich Middle Eastern ambiance and an attractive, ornate interior. The food is repeatedly praised for bold flavors, generous portions, and variety, with standout grills and kebabs, Mansaf, kafta, and Lebanese specialties complemented by silky hummus, tangy labneh, fattoush and other mezze; the desserts and Moroccan tea are noted as pleasant finishes. Service is frequently highlighted as professional, attentive, and friendly, contributing to a warm, homey feel, though a few visits report slower lunch service or occasional missteps with timing or bread quality. The atmosphere is described as comfortable and charming, suitable for family dinners, celebrations, or casual meals, with many recalling a memorable, immersive experience and some evenings busier than others, so reservations are advised. Price appears to be a mixed bag depending on the night and dish, with many reviewers calling portions fair or generous for the quality and location, while a few feel the price tag can be high for Montreal and note occasional value concerns. Overall, Mirage Restaurant is seen as a strong option for authentic, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on warm hospitality and a distinctive, elegant setting that makes it easier to return for future gatherings.
Really enjoyed the cozy & relaxing vibes here, the interior design is very Damascus style while it's mixed Syrian & Lebanese cuisine. Hidden species from Syrian Aleppo's cuisine, which I only found it here. The dose of salt was controlled I was amazed by that, most Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine in Montreal were a bit over salty & sometimes oily. Here the dishes are fresh & light, but also proper flavored. Proportion of sauces are not huge, but salad is in generous quantity. Service is superior, efficient & friendly. They took feedback from customer & responded it quickly. As I complained the proportion of my lemonana was small they offered me another cup, I felt a bit awkward as our table brother immediately offered that. Variety of kebab & other meat dishes like sandwiches are also impressive. Kebab was dry & lean, which was totally my preference. In conclusion, highly recommended!
The best service, the most delicious food in taste & presentation. Atmosphere is middle eastern & has historic mood that takes you to the past & nourishes you in the present.

Food is average minus. Portions are big but taste is disproportional. Wasn't sure to rate it 3 or 2. Service was utterly bad: one single waitress serving the whole restaurant, with a grim face. Even when 2 others joined, it remained very slow & inaccurate. They also got us the main plate before the appetizers (meza). Regarding the atmosphere, it is indeed middle eastern with Fairouz music
Very first time eating Middle Eastern food. It was delicious. The atmosphere was fun, the service was amazing & the decor is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
Let's talk about the food & the quality. I'm rating their so called breakfast menu. The quality is not great, yes the food seemed to be made fresh however that is as far as they go to giving you good food. Do not get Zaatar, because they have taken the word zaatar to literally & dowsed the soft (perhaps uncooked) bread with zaatar. clumpy. Zaatar for those who actually know what it should taste like, should be a little on the crispy side & the zaatar in olive oil should be in-printed into the bread base. I'm not sure what sure what oil is used since all you can taste & see is the overload of zaatar. Generally it should be made with the healthier oil like olive oil not using inflammatory oils like vegetable oil or canola! The breakfast menu is very expensive & the food is not good. So skip it. Most small dishes are around $9-$10 mark. A little tip as a middle eastern place. When someone asks for tea in a pot , don't be cheap & use one teabag better yet if you're supposedly authentic then use real tea, not tea dust in bag. Also no one wants bright yellow tea! Now the environment looks good & clean however the booth seats are uncomfortable & over powering candle smells everywhere which is not heathy to have at any time let alone when trying to eat! However to be fair our server was nice & accommodating to anything we asked. :)

Mirage is a Syrian/middle eastern restaurant with nice oriental family-oriented style. Unfortunately, almost all other Syrian restaurants are filled with Shishas & bars. A bit pricey but if you want a family friendly environment & good food, Mirage is a good option.
Outstanding experience at this Middle Eastern restaurant in Montreal! The management team ensured a warm welcome, & the food was incredibly fresh & delicious. Highly recommended-we'll definitely be returning soon
Great restaurant if you are looking for some authentic middle eastern food. Tried some newer stuff which we have never eaten at other Mediterranean restaurants & we loved it. The ambiance & decor was tasteful. My only feedback is the service, which was slow. But, I would definitely return if I am in Montréal.
Really really impressed with the food here. I just wasn't expecting it from a place that has such a diverse menu. 90% of the time when a place has burgers pizza & some other things, it's just not great food. In all fairness I didn't have the burgers or the pizza but the middle eastern options were really really good. A good selection & everything I had was tasty. Service was slightly better than meh but for the quality of the food & the vert reasonable prices, they could have insulted my mother & I'd still go back. Lol. Gotta have priorities in our right? Highly recommended.
