Iced latte took me out of a rut. It must have had adderall in it or something cause after a week of falling behind on all my responsibilities I deep cleaned my apartment & was excited about it. My hands are still shaking three hours after the iced latte.
Mintar is my sister & I's go to coffee spot. Not only is their coffee phenomenal but the service is outstanding every-single-time. Coming here feels like home. I highly highly recommend trying their special where you get a small coffee with a breakfast sandwich for 8.99$. The food here is ridiculously good. Important to note that they are also consistent:) They're also one of the only places that offers a cardamom latte, which is our favourite. Shoutout to the employees of Mintar, we LOVE y'all❤?

We stopped in for a coffee & breakfast today, the host was great, he explained the menu in detail, the food was delicious, I had a Latte & my partner had an Americano coffee, definitely recommend
Genuinely very confused as to how this cafe has such a high rating. I ordered a chai latte with oatmilk & an almond croissant. The chai latte tasted like warm milk, not a hint of chai. I had a few sips & didn't bother drinking the rest which was disappointing. The almond croissant was quite large, had good flavour & was quite tasty.
J'ai testé plusieurs cafés à Montréal, mais celui-ci avait un goût de brûlé, même pour un latté. Pourtant, la machine à café semblait de bonne qualité, c'est dommage. Après l'avoir monté à l'étage pour savourer mon café, j'ai découvert que vous commenciez à cuisiner de la viande, des oignons & des frites dans un espace assez petit. L'odeur était insupportable & la fumée se répandait partout. Je suis sorti avec un goût amer dans la bouche à cause du café mal préparé & mes vêtements étaient imprégnés de l'odeur de la nourriture. J'ai eu l'impression que le personnel était en train de préparer leur souper, & que nous, les clients, étions là par hasard. Le service pas très accueillant non plus.
The latte I ordered was unfortunately too bitter, it felt like the espresso might've been over-extracted, or the milk-to-espresso balance just wasn't quite right. The matcha latte didn't fare much better; it was overly bubbly with no smooth, creamy microfoam on top, likely from over?aerated milk.
The food was fairly ordinary. The side of potatoes was particularly disappointing, soggy, oily, & lacking in flavour.
That said, the café itself has a nice atmosphere & definitely shows potential. With some fine-tuning in drink preparation & food quality, Mintar could easily become a standout spot.
Visiting Montreal & this was the first place I went to in the morning to get breakfast. I had the omelette wrap which was superb as well as a delicious latte. Atmosphere was very nice & the service was warm & welcoming.
Cappuccino is a must try here. I would also recommend the cardamom latte & egg & halloumi cheese sandwich for a light breakfast.

Mintar Coffee Shop might be a small spot, but everything about it is truly amazing. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh coffee hits you, & you immediately know you're in for a great experience. Their coffee is rich, smooth, & flavorful, perfect whether you're grabbing something quick on the go or sitting down to sip & relax.
The food is just as impressive. Mintar offers a wide variety of breakfast options, including omelettes, sandwiches, fruit dishes, & smoothies. Everything tastes fresh, well-prepared, & satisfying. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a healthy bite or indulge in a comforting breakfast, depending on what you're craving.
Even though the shop is small, the atmosphere is warm & welcoming, & the staff are always friendly & attentive. Their great service makes the experience even better.
Mintar Coffee Shop is definitely a gem, whether you want a quick breakfast to go or a cozy spot to enjoy your morning coffee, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

When I see a spot that is always busy, I know I have to try it. The wait to enjoy was quick; fantastic service & quality food. Had the halloumi sub & a latte. Delicious! Chatted to the Chef & you can see the passion that goes into all aspects of Mintar. Top Montreal recommendation for breakfast or lunch!
We had a lovely breakfast at this cafe & were genuinely impressed by the warm & attentive service. Despite the place being quite busy, the staff remained kind, composed, & consistently made an effort to check in with customers. It was clear they genuinely care about creating a good experience for everyone - we could hear the staff member regularly asking guests if they needed anything, which really stood out.
As for the food - the coffee was excellent, & both of our meals were delicious. We got the steak & eggs, & the egg & ham. Both were flavorful & well-prepared. The entire atmosphere was cozy & inviting, making it a place we'd be happy to return to.
Next time, we're planning to try their breakfast bowls - they looked great!

The best place & hospitality we recieved when in M'tl. We were just on couple days of trip & decided to go here on our last day of our trip & i m glad we went here. The barista (probs the owner) i guess took good care of his customers. He was very attentive while taking irders & making everyones order. Very friendly atmosphere & there was never a room if awkwardness or customer owner vibe. He was very friendly with everybody in the cafe. Will definitely come back here wenever i visit next.

Mintar is a somewhat hidden gem in this area. Perfect matcha latte & hazelnut latte drinks to go with beautiful & tasty smoothie bowls & delicious omelette sandwiches served with a side of seasoned potatoes were exactly what we didn't know we needed but really enjoyed! Service is friendly & atmosphere is cute & relaxing. This is a great place to take a break & recharge, study or work if you have to while enjoying some food or drink. They have smoothies too. We would enjoy a return visit!
Me & a friend decided to go to Mintar today & from the start we were warmly greeted by the barista & the owner of the cafe. The owner is supper nice & came up to us making sure everything was to our liking. Me & my friend each took a latte, we ordered the cottage cheese pancakes & the classic sandwich to share & everything was absolutely amazing. The portions were big, we couldn't finish our plates but we had a hard time stopping because it was so good. Definitely a hidden gem & will definitely be going back.
I was truly impressed by the staff's attentiveness, politeness, friendliness, & proactive approach. Rare qualities, I seldom found in any other cafe in Montreal.
Ambience is good enought to dive in to a book.
The coffee was decent & served in a cool cup. The Almond croissant felt a bit stale so i left it midway. Will give benefit of doubt here.
Overall a descent experience, The staff definitely outshines as compared to other cafes.
Visited once again: Service top notch, very welcoming. Delicious omelette sandwich & decent coffee.
