We've eaten here a couple dozen times - both eating in & takeaway. The food is always amazing! Great taste, wonderfully cooked. The chicken souvlaki are perfectly done! The gyro always has a wonderful texture.... just right!
It's got a great vibe for a summer evening with the windows open & music playing...
I did recently have one mixup with my takeaway order where I didn't receive what I ordered in the bag. I emailed to say so & got a call back within 15 mins apologizing & offering a resolution that was more than fair.
Come for the amazing flavour, stay for the owner's old school commitment to doing things right!View more

Horrible experience. I came to Minos Souvlaki Gyro with my wife because we pass by it often & we wanted to try a new greek restaurant. When we got there we waited at least 10 minutes to get the menus & some water. The staff was too busy talking to give us any real service. That wasn't the only thing. When I went to the bathroom there was pee on the toilet seat & on the floor. Disgusting. The food was good but nothing spectacular. When I went to go pay the young waitress gave herself a 15% tip & handed me the machine. Unbelievable. Never again.

Apart from the traditional gyros & platters, Minos offer a variety of traditionnal greek food like Kokinisto, soutsoukakia, pastitio & many more. Great place, with awesome people & good food! The owner is friendly & welcoming, the staff are great. Fast service, smiling & friendly. Food is great! Good portions, affordable prices. I love the Gyro, fresh soft pita & the meat is very tasty. Located in a very nice neighborhood, I recommend walking there to enjoy Jarry street & avoid having to search for parking.View more

The food changes far too much from time to time. I've been a decent number of times over the past years, & have experienced different salads, fries, rice, & even pitas. Some days it's good, some days it's bad. I once had a gyro there that was amazing, & a few times it was simply bad. I would for that reason give it a 2.5 - far too "hit or miss" for me to want to go back.View more

As soon as I discovered them from their promo video online. The quote about obtaining an authentic taste... anyways. I've been going after the proc gyro. & I honestly can't get enough. This is the best souvlaki resto I have ever had to date. If they were closer, I'd come by very often. The tzatziki is amazing. The meat is well seasoned. The placement of the fries inside is a nice touch. I am recommending any one of my acquaintance & friends to try them out they're not far from Jerry Park. This place should be bustling with business. I wish them good luck & hope they're around for years to come.View more

Effectivement j'y suis allée cette fin d'année, pour la première fois depuis la fermeture de Neos, & ça n'a plus rien à voir...😓 J'espérais que les critiques émises depuis l'ouverture avaient peut-être permis d'améliorer les choses mais j'ai pu constater par moi-même qu'il n'en est rien. La viande du gyro au porc était sèche, très mal assaisonnée (pas de marinade, juste beaucoup d'herbes de Provence). Quand tu te forces à finir alors que tu aurais voulu te délecter... Je n'y retournerai pas malheureusement.View more

Un joli endroit, mais j'ai été un peu déçu par les Gyros, ils étaient malheureusement plus secs que désirés. La viande était elle-même sèche & il y avait peu de sauce à travers le Pitas. La salade était bien & apportait de la fraîcheur. J'y retournerai dans quelques mois pour réessayer si la note reste bonne.View more

Nous sommes aller chercher des pitas souvlaki au poulet & gyro au porc ainsi que des calmars pour 12 personnes. C'était excellent, les meilleures en ville. La viande & les ingrédients utilisés sont d'excellentes qualités & tout était très goûteux. C'est certain que nous irons manger sur place prochainement.View more

Très belle endroit! J'avais un creux en rentrant & je ne savais pas ce que je voulais manger. Alors j'ai été accueilli par le patron qui parlait à un client qui vait l'air aussi comblé que moi m'invitant à entrer. Agréablement surpris, le service était rapide le seul bémol c'est que c'était gras mais en même temp j'ai pris un booooon gyro au porc😋
C'était beaucoup trop bon pour n'y aller qu'une fois. Je suis sûr de revenir!!!View more

I have walked through the labyrinth of the many gyro spots in Montreal in my quest to find an authentic Greek gyro. I have been sorely disappointed until today. Minos is an exceptional Greek food experience that is truly reminiscent of the souvlaki shops you find in Greece.
Beautifully decorated, spotless with a modern minimalist flair, the dining experience is cosy, relaxed & transports you to the Greek islands.
I ordered the Gyro platter, which was delicious & very filling . The meat was lean & tender & crispy on the outside just the way I like it. The greek salad was exceptional, it’s all about using quality tomatoes! I was surprised by how good the rice was, which in most Greek restaurants is an afterthought. These guys however use Basmati rice, which is fit for a Minoan King. My kids enjoyed their gyro pitas & chicken souvlaki sticks, the tzatziki was a hit. I have a gluten allergy & they have many items on the menu that are gluten-free.
They have a nice selection of drinks & I particularly enjoyed the Yamas mango iced tea. Looking forward to trying their Imported Greek beer the next time I go.
Minos can truly be crowned Montreal’s new King of Souvlaki. Long live king Minos!View more
