Cute ambience, good cocktails, great selection of Italian food. Also good music playlist.
The waiter was cool. He made sure to check up on us to see what we wanted to order next & cleared our plates in a timely manner.
The bar's a /lot/ smaller than the photos appear, & I just feel like if they were slightly bigger & got a dance floor or something, this place would be absolutely perfect. Still had a sweet time!View more

1- theres no sign at the entrance it could be really confusing. An old lady outside had to show me the way in.
2- you're really paying for ice & lemonade. Had to get a shot of tequila so i could pour it into my drink. Should really switch it to a natural juice bar.

I came here with my friends who came all the way from Europe & we all agree that this bar is really unique. It's a mix of a classy bar with some tropical twist. The music got a bit loud especially after 9:30-10:00pm, still it is a perfect place for a chill girls night out. However, the bar is a bit small so it's going to suit better for small groups (4-5 people max).View more

Nous avons découvert le bar Milky Way après avoir vu plusieurs vidéos & photos vantant l'endroit - & en effet, l'ambiance est au rendez-vous ! Le lieu est superbe, surtout en soirée, avec une atmosphère vraiment soignée & immersive. Rien à redire sur ce point, c'est clairement un bar qui vaut le détour pour le décor & l'ambiance.
Côté cocktails, nous avons goûté le Crème de la crème & le Bon pour le moral, & c'était un vrai délice. Des saveurs originales, bien équilibrées, & des présentations impeccables. Pour le coup, les prix sont justifiés.
Malheureusement, la nourriture nous a vraiment déçus… 22$ pour une demi burrata (oui, une demi) accompagnée de trois tomates cerises & deux petits morceaux de jambon - ça laisse un goût amer. Le plat était en plus très salé. Pour ce prix-là, on s'attend à une meilleure portion & un peu plus de cohérence. D'autres restos proposent une burrata entière à un prix équivalent ou inférieur. Ce rapport qualité/prix casse un peu l'expérience, c'est dommage.
Peut-être qu'une carte plus adaptée au format bar (comme une planche à partager, des tapas, etc.) serait une meilleure option que des « plats » aussi déséquilibrés.
En résumé : un lieu à voir pour ses cocktails & son ambiance unique, mais passez votre tour sur la burrata si vous ne voulez pas avoir l'impression de vous faire avoir.View more

Le Milky Way est un très bon bar, super bien décoré avec une ambiance très jolie illumination. Les cocktails sont délicieux & généreux. Les pizzas sont très abordables & offrent un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Il n'y a pas de réservation, c'est premier arrivé, premier servi. Nous avons dû attendre 20 minutes avant d'être installées, & 30 minutes pour recevoir nos boissons & nos pizzas, mais les serveurs sont très gentils. Je recommande !View more

Les cocktails du Milky Way sont toujours excellents. Le menu est très varié & les bartenders ont vraiment du talent pour improviser. Les clients sont vraiment bénis par le menu partagé avec Fugazzi. Il n'y a pas un seul bar à cocktail à Montréal qui bat la bouffe du Milky. L'ambiance est parfaite, la déco est cute, & la musique classique dans les toilettes ajoute à l'expérience. This was my second time coming to Montreal, but my first time going out for drinks with my friends. I had the pleasure of going to this lovely bar, the Milky Way cocktail bar, with my friends. Our server who happened to be the manager of this beautiful place, her name was Daniella & she was amazing. Our table had gotten pizza, & a few drinks each & thought the prices were fair for how pretty & delicious the food & drinks were. Daniella made custom drinks for my friends who didn't know what to order & made the experience awesome. Would definitely recommend coming here if you don't know where to go in Montreal.View more

Great experience!! We came to celebrate my friends birthday & because we were about 10 people we had to wait around 2 hours in the line. However, they made it up to us by serving us two rounds of shots & 10 cannolis for my friend's bd:):) definitely recommend this bar & give 10/10 to their customer service.View more

The bar has a great atmosphere & offers a nice selection of cocktails, but there's a catch. They advertise $7 cocktails, which is enticing, but when you get there, they hand you a menu that makes it look like all the cocktails are at that special price 7$. However, if you don't look closely, you'll miss the actual menu with the special-priced cocktails hidden away down the regular menu. Always make sure to check for that other menu, or you might end up paying the regular prices of $19-$23 for a cocktail instead of the $7 they advertise. Just a heads-up!View more

Beautiful decor. Different feelings in the day & night. Similar if not exactly same food menu as Fugazzi, same corporate group owns both. Cocktail bar with an large liquor spread. You can find pretty much anything you want & the staff is very knowledgeable in making what you ask or teasing your palette with something new. Fun menu with cool presentations. The wait to get in wasn't too long & the cocktails / drinks were very good. Prices are reasonable compared to similar places. We did find the music too loud for a lounge type of bar, often having to speak very loudly in order to have a conversation. Otherwise everything was great & we definitely recommend.View more

-Such a shame for a very nice place I used to love- We went on a Wednesday night with my bf & the barmaid & waiter were very nice BUT the manager/bouncer's attitude was unacceptable. Upon arrival he asked us in such a rude way to see our ID (we're 30), & proceeded to dig into my bag aggressively while giving us intimidating looks. Then he went back quietly to his seat, while continuing to give us condescending looks throughout the night. It was clear he was staring right at us: there were only about 10 people in the entire bar. As a woman, I felt unsafe & threatened by this unnatural attitude - especially from someone in the service industry. My advice: stay away!View more

I went to this cocktail bar on a Sunday night for a date, & it was absolutely perfect. The ambiance was incredible-low key & relaxed, exactly what we were looking for. The drinks were fantastic, & the prices were surprisingly affordable for such quality. Our waitress was super kind & attentive, making the experience even better. Love this place! Came for drinks on a Thursday night. There was a short wait but saw a couple leave the bar so asked to sit there because I preferred that over table service. About an hour later there was an even longer wait with a line which shows how popular it is there. The drink I had was really good! Good bar service & attentive. We just had the best time at Milkyway Cocktail bar. I had been wanting to go to this bar for years, so when my sister's bf was looking for a spot to propose to my sister, I knew this was it. I messaged them ahead of time & they were so accommodating. When we arrived, Alex was a peach. His service was just attentive enough & we felt well taken care of. The bar flooded because of the rainstorm, HOWEVER, the staff made sure to take great care of us until the final sip of our drinks. This was the perfect venue for my sister's proposal, the service was awesome (s/o Alex), the drinks were exceptional & the Killa Bees pizza was *chef's kiss*. All the awards are well deserved & I can't wait to recommend this bar to anyone I know who visits Montreal :)View more

my sister, my best friend & myself were visiting MTL from Toronto & were recommended this place by a bartender at another bar. We went late & didn't see it at first until we came upon the bouncer. We were not expecting such a fun & lively little bar & the reveal made our entire night. The service was fast, & the staff were all very warm & helpful to us. On raconte généralement que les extravertis les adorent & les introvertis les évitent. Moi qui les esquive comme la peste, je devais bien faire partie du second groupe... & pourtant, j'adopte certains comportements qui paraissent tout droit sortis du manuel de l'extraversion : je suis heureux de me faire des amis, j'exprime ouvertement mes pensées & émotions, j'ai un grand intérêt à connaître le monde extérieur, & je suis à l'aise en public. Mais je préfère être avec une seule personne à la fois, j'aime être dans mes propres affaires la majeure partie du temps & je préfère montrer mon côté sérieux qu'amusant en premier. En fin de compte, je ne me sens ni l'un ni l'autre, ou les deux à la fois. Peut-être qu'il n'existe pas une telle dichotomie... Objection, Monsieur le juge. Ce n'est pas pertinent. C'est une critique d'un débit de boisson, & là, il parle d'introversion & d'extroversion. C'est quoi le rapport ? Maître, où voulez-vous en venir ? Nulle part en particulier, je crois. Je voulais seulement entretenir le jury avec une réflexion intéressante sur des notions préconçues de personnalité. En fait, j'ai emprunté un chemin tortueux, escarpé & rocailleux pour expliquer que, en raison de ce trait de personnalité que je n'arrive pas à définir avec le vocabulaire mis à ma disposition, je ne suis jamais sorti à des bars avec des « potes » ou collègues pour prendre une pinte, mais qu'aujourd'hui, je découvre les bars sous un nouvel angle, celui de la gastronomie. Un bar de coquetels, comme ceux de la Voie lactée (le Milky Way, traduction libre), peut être une source d'un plaisir gustatif profond & intense, autant que peut l'être un plat de pâtes ou un hamburger. Il y a tellement de combinaisons possibles, de mélanges de saveurs inimaginables, que la surprise peut se renouveler encore & encore alors que se succèdent les consommations. Le plaisir est alors décuplé si le cadre est dépaysant & si le personnel est aimable & attachant. À la Voie lactée, on navigue au travers d'une constellation de parfums alcoolisés dans une ambiance qui n'est pas sans rappeler un bateau de croisière... & si on arrive assez tôt, on a le droit à un service des plus personnalisés, des attentions particulières, de la sincérité & un peu de taquinerie. En plus, ils offrent les excellents mets du Fugazzi sans en hausser les prix. On y a célébré la préretraite de mon parent & la personne en question était aux anges. Je vous ai parlé du bar en termes vagues, mais c'est volontaire. Je voulais mettre votre imagination en ébullition plutôt que d'y aller d'une critique sèche & analytique des consommations. De toute façon, comme je vous l'ai dit, je ne suis pas une sommité en eau-de-vie. Pour tout vous dire... leur carte est un acte de création, un équilibre d'arômes, une symphonie de papilles allègres. Bien qu'aucun coquetel ne m'est médusé au point de me faire tomber de ma chaise, j'ai apprécié mes choix pour ce qu'ils étaient : de l'art, une épopée. Après cela, il ne me reste plus qu'à vous souhaiter : bon voyage !View more
