C’est une fraicheur tropicale qui vous attend en haut des marches black light et fluo du Milky Way. Such a cool, innovative bar! Milky Way Cocktail Bar can be hard to find, but once you open the door & see the illuminated staircase, you're instantly transported into a different dimension. The atmosphere here is vibrant with a live DJ & striking lighting. The menu is quite extensive with fun, inventive choices. We all enjoyed our drinks, & you can even snack on pizza for only $5! Milky Way is a great place to come with friends to enjoy fun drinks in a cool setting!
Really liked the ambiance, the drinks are good, the menu is really cool with the drawings ! It's nice that the actual glasses are like in the menu ! We got there around 9h30 so there wasn't a lot of wait but when we left at 11h30, the line up outside was pretty long.
My only comment is that we wanted a pizza at 11, we already ordered 2 drinks each, & the waiter said we had to order more drinks to have a pizza🥺 that sucked a bit.
& it would be nice if they could have vegan options !

The night didn't start off in the best way - our group was told to wait standing up &, despite all of us seeing enough side by side tables available, other customers were sat first. I went to politely ask our server if there was a reason for that, & she responded somewhat rudely. Once we were finally seated, it felt like our server was trying to micromanage us, which was odd & a bit irritating, considering the previous interaction.
That being said, the service was redeemed by the end of the evening! That particular server & others came to check in on us & even helped us through the menu. The food was good & the drinks were out of this world! The creme de la creme cocktail was probably the best drink I've had in all of Montreal!!!
While it is worth noting that, at first, we weren't very happy with the service, this was overall a good experience 😊
I had an absolutely awful experience at Milky Way. I was there with my friend. I am visibly a person of color, & she is visibly white (blonde, blue eyes). When I went to the bathroom, no one covered my drink or paid any attention. But when my friend went to the bathroom, the server rushed to cover her water, put a napkin on top, & then took her drink to hide it in the fridge-making it seem like I would do something to her drink. It was a macro-aggressive & racist experience where I felt completely targeted. When I went to the bathroom again, no one cared about my drink, making it clear the only reason they protected hers was because of me. This was one of the worst racist experiences I've had in Canada, & I would never recommend this place to any person of color.
We stopped in for drinks before dinner & what a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly & the bartender was genuinely interested in making recommendations based on what we like to drink. Our bartender was Louis & he made the whole experience so enjoyable.
I gave him some drinks I like & he suggested the Side Salad SVP & it was so delicious! The next round, I told him I liked Brown Derbys so he said he'll make me one with a few of his own tweaks. It was the best Brown Derby I've ever had!
The vibe is fun, relaxed, & doesn't seem to take itself too seriously.
Definitely put this place on your must go list in Montreal!

I love this place so much! However the last visit we were very disappointed with the service! The guy was alone at the tables & I felt like he ignored us. We asked for a menu & my sister had to go get one herself & he almost never came to check on us. We wanted to order more but he never came to take our drink orders again unless we went to get him (we would have ordered more but there wasn't an opportunity to order). By the time he came I had decided to stop drinking because it felt like we weren't being properly served. Big loss opportunity for income on their part & I didn't have as much fun as the last times I went to this beautiful place!
I'm just writing this to let the owners know that the lack of staff on a Friday night is impacting our experience at this bar/restaurant! I live in the area & I love this restaurant but this makes me not want to make the effort to go as often…
What a lovely ambiance provided to you at Milky Way, from the comfortable booth-like seating, to the friendly & professional service, you're assured to enjoy your night here. The drink list is ample & the menu has a cool vibe to it, plenty to choose from & great help from the servers there. Bonus points for the late night pizza deal, nice thin crust pizza to end the night was a great addition. The spicy margarita was delicious & my friends loved their cocktails as well. Music is nice & not too loud.
Excellent service de Mika. Portier accueillant. Le Drink délicieux. Cependant la musique était un peu trop forte pour discuter sans hausser le ton vers 20h.
Milky Way is an absolute visual treat. Beyond the incredible atmosphere, the drinks are reasonably priced & the service is surprisingly quick given the vibe. I ordered the Pisco Sour & it was fantastic, highly recommended.
However, the real highlight is the food. The $5 pizzas after 11 PM make the trip completely worth it. Do yourself a favor & order the Calabrese Hot Honey Pizza; it won't disappoint. I'd argue it's one of the best pizzas in Montreal. This place is definitely a hidden gem!
The milky way cocktail bar was a must-visit stop on our trip! The bar was beautiful, & the staff were so nice. The drink menu was pretty good, creative, we all liked our drinks. The food was good, my friends ordered the risotto & I had cauliflower with cheese. the pizza was so good as well. my friends wanted to mention that the portion size was a bit small. overall great experience
Overall the milky way cocktail bar is decent. I wasn't all that impressed with the drinks. I know it's typical to load up cocktails with ice. However, I felt giving me a drink filled to the brim with ice left no room for the actual drink itself. I found myself choosing a beer after a cocktail due to this.
The ambiance itself is nice!

Loved my experience at Milky Way. The cocktails were great & the server I had, Saskia, was exceptionally helpful & had a wonderful energy! I'll be back soon enough for another drink!
Unique place for drinks & dinner. Pasta was fantastic, & the drinks & service were fun. It wasn't too busy when we went earlier in the evening but looked like it was filling up as we left.
