It was my birthday celebration & we love sushi , the food, means the sushi in this place. It is indeed AMAZING in capital, & prices are really accordingly. Every dish is really well presented, & the sauces are really putting another step up every dish presented. That's why I enjoyed as few times in my life the "Thon Katsu" served over a rainbow of 3 sauces, the way that when you pass a piece over the sauces, is an explosive combination that ends with the Thon melting in your mouth, was a really pleasant feeling rarely felt, because not always the expectations are unexpectedly over passed, others signature sushi dishes were order, all with the same pleasant sensation. But... the service... the waitres are nicer & explained all in detail, even they are quite professionals, but the dishes rotation it's slow as I ever saw in my life & after works for almost 24 years in Hotel's restaurants service, we booked for 6,30 & the drinks arrived 40 min later & first dishes after an hour... well, short story, we leave at 9,50 without ordering dessert because it was toooo long the waiting, but I have to say that they have the delicacy of bringing an slice of Kate with a candle to sign HBD. My critics are mostly about time, that it's the only thing we can't recover, all the rest you can have it back.View more

Mikasa Laval: A must try if you're in the area! This restaurant has a beautiful decor with high ceiling & good vibes. Not too noisy also. The entrée, sushi & main dishes were just delicious & fresh. I went to this place with my Girlfriend. She suggested this place & we went to have some good time. Everything was ok till I found how hard it was to order the food. We wait probably around 45 minutes to see someone to come & take our orders. The presentation of the food they have was great; however, the test was not. Big disappointment from them. We spent 100+ & did not like the taste because some of sushi was fishy while our order was veggie. Even California Sushi does not contain Crab mea!!! Hello.... Malheureusement, une expérience décevante chez Mikasa du centropolis. Nous étions un groupe de 15. Le service a été le gros point négatif de la soirée. Par contre, rien à voir avec le serveur qui faisait son possible, c'était plutôt la cuisine qui n'arrivait pas à gérer. Nous avons été servi 1h30 après avoir commandé, mais le plus frustrant c'est que le groupe à été servi en 2 temps. La moitié de la table à été servi alors que l'autre les regardait manger & vice versa. Ça c'est vraiment inacceptable en restauration !!! Mon entrée de tempura (legumes(2), crevettes(2) & calmars(2)) pour 20$ était beaucoup trop cher pour le résultat & la quantité. Le seul point positif, les sushis étaient excellents.View more
