Mignon Steak in Old Port is my go-to for group events, & it never disappoints! The group menu 75 is absolutely to die for, with incredible flavors. The service is always impeccable, & the atmosphere is simply fantastic-elegant yet welcoming. Both the Negroni Room & the main dining area are perfectly suited for any occasion. As someone who loves exploring amazing culinary experiences, I can confidently say this restaurant in the Old Port is a gem! The atmosphere was absolutely perfect-cozy, chic, & filled with that unmistakable Old Montreal charm. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in for something special. A huge shoutout to Francesco, the owner of Felix Boutique, for helping me secure my reservation. His recommendation did not disappoint, & his assistance made the whole experience even more seamless. I started with a classic Negroni, & it was perfectly balanced-a great way to set the tone for the evening. For my entrée, I couldn't resist the oysters, which were fresh & beautifully presented. The main course, steak & frites, was hands down the best I've had in Montreal. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, tender & flavorful, while the frites were crispy & addictive. As a serious foodie, I've tried my fair share of steakhouses in the city, & this place truly takes the crown. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the spot. I stopped in for a drink or two, & wow. Mignon makes some of the best martinis I've ever had. We sat at the bar, & the bartenders were so friendly, yet professional. Montréal is one of my all-time favorite cities to visit, & Mignon is a perfect example of why that is. Next time I'm in town, I'm stopping by for the full restaurant experience (plus another amazing martini).View more

It was my wife & I first time in Montreal & we were told to check out Old Port & stumbled into Mignon & had the experience of a lifetime! The hospitality, food, environment & courtesy made thr experience second-to-none. We ordered the Steak Frites which are arguably the best (coming from New York City). This restaurant is 10 out of 10 for the hospitality & intention alone - special thanks to Valentin, Pierre, & Danny for making this one for the ages. An incredible welcome to Montreal.View more

My wife & I had dinner at Mignon Steak Vieux-Montréal, & unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite making a reservation at a steakhouse, we were bizarrely asked if we were vegetarians upon arrival. This felt out of place & left us wondering why that was necessary information when we'd clearly chosen a steakhouse. The service continued to disappoint. When we asked for salt for our fries, the waiter condescendingly asked if we had tasted them first - incredibly patronizing. We also ordered a side of mushrooms & onions, which was forgotten & only brought out well after our meals had been served. As a result, I had to watch my dinner get cold while waiting for the side dish. Adding insult to injury, we couldn't help but notice that the waiter was far more attentive to the table next to us, frequently checking on them & ensuring their dishes arrived in the order they preferred. This stark contrast in service made our experience even more frustrating. Though we were offered a free dessert as compensation, we declined, expecting that the mishandled side dish would be removed from our bill in lieu of the dessert. Unfortunately, it wasn't, which was a disappointing end to an already subpar dining experience. The entire evening felt condescending & strange, & we left feeling very unimpressed. We would not recommend this restaurant to others based on our experience.View more

The place is really nice, the vibe, the music it was on point. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Food was good but not the greatest, my steak was a little overcooked, good flavour, the sauce is the star there. Fries were really nice specially with the steak sauce. I upgraded to be half salad half fries, not worth it. It ended up being 2 pieces of lettuce like you see in the picture. I got the Crème brûlée for dessert, the flavour & presentation were good, the crust on top needed more sugar for that classic initial crack. Food needs to improve a notch to align with the place & price you pay.View more
